1:40:01 I always hate when people say don’t pick it just because it annoys them, let the streamer/creator find out for themselves because it’s not annoying for everyone.

Spoiler maybe: Weest mentioned this game recently which made me check for a vod of it, but he said it was about hiking with your mum. Based on the fact I'm halfway through the video and there's no mum, I feel like that was a bit of a spoiler. I guess I don't know the full story though which based on some subtler signs could be deep or it could genuinely just be you get a phone call from your mum at the top. Edit: well it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it might be, I thought maybe it was like she was holding onto the memory of her mum who passed and the call was just an excuse to try and go alone, but it was as simple as a call from her mum at the top. A very sweet and cool looking game, the flying looks really satisfying too, I can't believe it was made in a day. I'm a pretty slow worker but this is a really cool little game in general, let alone for a 24 hour game jam

Chat was a bit annoying (and somewhat spoilery, though you appeared to have dome in expecting a sad time), but I love how you got pulled in right away. :) (Only 28:50 in at the moment, but it's a pity you seemed to be having hair-related complications with the camera detection.)

The movie fucking sucks. The great Gatsby fucking sucks, it's just rich people being assholes. It's a story about a rich Harlot, a cuck, a stalker and the 1920's guy that radiated wife beater energy. The modern music sucks, the characters suck. The movie and the source material are over the top pretentious drama, it blows.

Ernie coming back through the window hits me especially. I grew up with a cat called Nicki, she was like a friend to me when I was little. But in the mid of her life, she distanced herself from us. Staying most of the time outside, only coming home to eat and then leaving again. Once I sat in our attic, which was fully furnished like a living room, reading. Suddenly Nicki came up the ladder to me onto my lap and was her old loving self again. I then realized how much I had missed her and cried so much. Many years after she was long gone, into my adulthood, I still had dreams of her reappearing after a long absence.

The writing is very emotional, and very contemporary. I don't think it's a book that really gives an extreme amount of insight into the human condition on the level of Shakespeare or something. I can understand that it was a good for the 1920s attitudes, but I don't think it's a timeless masterpiece. It's not a Lord of the Rings. Also, left wing people love TGG, since it shows the "failure of capitalism and american dream" to allow Gatsby to leap frog into the upper class - even though Gatsby still had a ton of wealth, and the american economy created new elite groups, like Hollywood during the 1920 and 30s (not super long after the book was published). But school made you read it, because most teachers are lefty.

33:12 As someone who is a first chair in a state consort, and someone who ALSO doesn’t learn music theory unless it’s shoved in my face and waterboarding me with it, yeah, pretty much. I know like. Some. But as soon as it comes to scales and semitone and chord forms etc etc you have LOST me. How I made it to first chair I have no clue. but also it’s a recent development so I’m still proud :D

1. The plot feels disconnected from its self and random. Gatsby tries to get an old lover back, turns out he got his money illegally, then he gets shot. It just feels like “Welp, I guess this is a thing now.” 2. On the topic of the death, it’s so stupid. Gatsby, our character of interest, gets killed off-screen by a side character with barely any lines over a misunderstanding. What is that even supposed to say?

honestly my 2 favorite moments of watching someone play obra dinn for the first time would be their reactions to 1: abagail's death seeing the kraken, and 2: the death in the orlop carpenter's walk deck and seeing the crab people through the wall slats
