I'm glad you put that chart up Alan, it shows so clearly that CO2 has been falling dramatically throughout Earth's history, and you're absolutely right, it has no bearing on Earth's temperature. In fact if it gets much lower, everything on the planet will die 😬

Interesting Alan 🙂 Zig's Simplified theory of leaf movement states that they're not using the leaves for photosynthesis at night so they poke upwards in case it rains which guides the water toward the roots instead of keeping it away from them 🙂

There's no escape from that Epilobium 😬 I've found the KT boundary about 10 miles from here, it wasn't a good day to be outside when that asteroid hit 😬
@newbotany4 ай бұрын
Thanks Ziggy! I am surprised that anything survived the impact. I would have expected the atmosphere to have been completely depleted of oxygen by the asteroid impact... Making it impossible for the flowers to survive. 🤔
@ZiggySearchfieldCactus4 ай бұрын
@@newbotany Not just the atmosphere, top layers of the sea probably lost a lot too. The only ammonite that survived was the Nautilus which is a deep sea one. If you think about the animals that made it, most of them were in mud, water or burrows, glod knows how they got enough to breathe? 😬
