How much better the natural sounds are without music. Lovely! But no date. When you have hundreds of videos on KZbin, as i do, a date is really helpful..to yourself but to everyone else as well. Hope the holiday went well. There's a new one also posted today by Tim. taken with a drone at Thornwick Bay. just down the coast a bit. Dawn...sunrise. but music.

What an amazing event! Vaisakhi celebrates the formation of 'The Khalsa'. It established The Khalsa - The Sikh Way of Life. Those that sacrifice themselves to live in accordance to a strict code of conduct. It sets the discipline/code of conduct for baptised/practising Sikhs. It was first conducted/undertaken by The Sikh Guru - Guru Gobind Singh Jee in 1699. This is when 5 people stepped forward to give up their heads for righteousness and justice. The initiation is referred to as 'Taking Amrit'. It is often undertaken throughout the year at many Sikh Gurdwaras. Anyone who observes/accepts the code of conduct (takes Amrit) may become a Sikh. 'Taking Amrit' is the initiation/baptism a person undergoes to become a fully initiated Sikh who makes a choice to live their life in accordance to a strict discipline. A code of conduct set out by The Tenth Master / Sikh Guru. Sikhi is often referred to as 'the 3rd Path'. It was set by The Tenth Master / Guru of The Sikhs! The other paths relate to those of muslims & hindus. Sikhi is a distinct and very different path. In fact... Sikhs are neither hindu or muslim! Often misinformation, disinformation and malinformation sold by those that do not know! Everyone interested should research it for themselves. Highly recommend 'basics of sikhi' channel on youtube. Just a suggestion: Start with the 'street prachar' playlist. Search "basics of sikhi street". A playlist should come up. Excellent insight and sheds light on Sikhs! 🙏 Just a suggestion / a place to start your exploration from! Hope it helps anyone interested in knowing more. 🙏

What was observed with the parade is called a Nagar Kirtan. This is when The Guru (Sikh Holy Book, 11th eternal master. The Holy Book was bestowed Guruship by Guru Gobind Singh Jee [10th living Guru] to forever more be The Guru!) along with five Sikhs (called Panj Pyaare, the five beloved ones) lead a procession of people travelling the locality / city singing divine hymns inviting people to join no matter what their background. Theres free food and often ends with fun activities for kids/parents and more free food. In this case - the park! Pretty easy when you get your head around it. Again hope it helps with context/understanding/words some may have heard of but don't know what they mean! Any further questions more than happy to help by explaining🙏 No plug or promotion - Basics of Sikhi website (a charity providing resources/understanding of Sikhs) is an excellent resource for ALL. Thank you. Did you go to Mansfield today? It did stop raining but then I decided not to go and see the procession.

It is important to know the time of year...spring summer etc. and I think it is an essential part of the information for viewers helping to put the video in context. We all differ and it doesn't matter to you. Fair enough!
