My nickname is Hush, which means something like 'a quiet lull' or 'a silence'. It's a little nuanced. Does this kanji kinda mean something like that? Or is there a different kanji that means something closer to 'hush'?

Yes, this kanji means like that. I also can say, "静寂"

It says, "Oni wa soto, Fuku wa uchi", which means “Devil out, Fortune in” ;)

@@seichoshodo I'm Japanese-American so I haven't got to participate in the festivals & I'm still learning the basics of the language, but kanji is still hard for me 😆 I love learning about Japan 💙

@@Koutouhara There are more than 100,000 Kanji characters. We've learned Kanji characters little by little but still don't get all of them. It's hard for everyone ;) Good Luck!!
