Thank you for this... not a wasted second in this video!! The track came off of my Rhino XN10. The manual mentioned something to do with grease but I was left quite confused, having no experience with excavators of any size. And then this little warning gave me reason to go to KZbin. "If the tension is not adjusted by the following designated procedure, the grease relief valve will probably fly out to cause injuries." Your video explained everything very clearly, while alleviating my fears of being injured by not following designated procedures.

Interesting, I got a new U17 and I don't have anything like that, no pin to pull etc. I don't know how to change my bucket as of yet nor do I know what keeps the bucket currently on from falling off.
@davidharris38239 ай бұрын
I was suppose to have a quick hitch when I bought it but it didn't come with it. Until I get that sorted out I want to change buckets.
@bearplant9 ай бұрын
If you have no quick hitch on at all then you will need to take out the 2 pins connecting the bucket on every time you want to change buckets. I would recommend greasing them every time, once you've changed buckets. I could probably do a video for this at some point if it would be helpful?
@davidharris38239 ай бұрын
Turns out it's a quick hitch, just a very new design that doesn't use a pin, it stumped the Kubota Teck until he figured it out So I'm happy with it as it is a quick hitch + I can put my buckets on in reverse (be handy in the cemetery). Dave

Well done and a good result, shame about the missing return valve/port. I have Engcon on a 3T and it works similarly. The Rhinox manual quick hitch on a 1.2T is a pain, even with their buckets. Makes for a good workout though! A couple of hopefully constructive comments: get some wrap for the hoses and a grease gun for Christmas!
@bearplant11 ай бұрын
Yes once you have a hydraulic hitch on one machine it's hard to not want them on everything! Yes wrap would be a good Idea 👍 though some customers seem to be able to damage anything... 🤦 Does it look un-greased? Everything gets greased before it goes out on hire - but I also hate overgreasing as the grease needlessly running down the arm and smearing everywhere really bugs me 🤣🤦

That's interesting. What make was the hitch? These pipes actually broke after about 20 hours of use but after replacing them and routing them better on the arm, they seem to have been ok since with no problems

It is a china digger and hitch. Smaller arm as well went on top of arm which is ok but out of the hitch they cam out the side instead of like yours Ollie is cute lol

Really great video, i appreciate seeing this whole process. I do a lot of tinkering on my own machines and love to see how things like this quick hitch are installed. How come you didn't get a new hitch that fit your old buckets?
@bearplant Жыл бұрын
Thanks 👍 The hitch that was on it was made to take a different size pin setup to a standard one for that machine, which was a pain as it meant it wouldn't fit other attachments I had for other identical machines. But actually buckets and their pins (especially when they're welded into the bucket and you can't change them) get worn out and sloppy aswell.
