I don't have background in nuke, but I'm convinced that having the consol on the right with a vertical flow is MUCH BETTER for screen real estate management, especially if you work on vertical contents.

I am afraid my MacBook m3 with 18gb of ram won't handle, 3d is resource demanding so, may be one day with powerful gpu cp
@BirkirAsgeirssonVFX4 күн бұрын
18 GB is on the lower side, but it’s definitely doable if you’re patient. Blackmagic recommends a minimum of 16 GB of RAM, though 32 GB or more is ideal for optimal performance.

Good tips, but AI voice is a massive turn-off

@@BirkirAsgeirssonVFX I appreciate your work sir. I'm stating the obvious when I say don't worry about these comments. The fact that you chose to contribute to the community by providing this workflow method for easy transition is highly valuable, and this guy just comes and states his preferences lol. Did he even get the value out of this video? It shows his character. To @gxrsky, what if he's just camera shy? or has an accent that he's self concious with?

Why would anyone even want to switch from nuke to fusion?
@BirkirAsgeirssonVFX25 күн бұрын
Well, Nuke costs around $3,500 per year, while lifetime license in Fusion is just $300. You might be transitioning from a larger studio to a smaller one that uses Fusion instead of Nuke. There are many reasons why someone might switch software. Ultimately, both Nuke and Fusion are just tools-like Canon and Nikon-and each has its own strengths and weaknesses.

again we need more zoomed in screen when you do or say something about the node tree. Otherwise it's good. Thanks

I have a question, what if the patch starts in frame and then moves out of frame and part of it gets cut off? Is there a way to have the patch not get clipped?
@BirkirAsgeirssonVFXАй бұрын
Hi. I hope I am understanding you correctly, but the patch should not get cut off as long as it starts in the frame and then will moves out of the frame.

Hi, as I think you come from nuke I want to ask you if when you move the mask manually, if there it is done the same way or is there a way to tell the mask to use the camera translation movement. Like when you stabilize with the planar tracker and then unstabilize again. Cheers!
@BirkirAsgeirssonVFX2 ай бұрын
Hi. There is a way to do it, but with my setup, I wonder if it’s possible. You would have to use the Hardware UV Renderer in the Render 3D node to stabilize the projection and then matchmove it. That way, you wouldn’t need to use the frame hold. It’s a different setup for that technique, and I might create a tutorial for it later. In the meantime, you can see if you can find any tutorials on how to use the Hardware UV Renderer.
