How do I add Multiple SSID's to at least 2 CAp Devices. Like just broadcasting at least 3 of the same SSID's
@LogicalSolutionsNZАй бұрын
There is so much missing here. There are many configuration changes that you can make to improve 5Ghz coverage. These APs are very technical, and if installed in "dumb mode", as seen in these videos, you are not going to get anything like their true performance. I'm yet to find "GOOD" information on WAV2, and unfortunately, these videos fall way short of the mark.

I don't know. MikroTik markets this product for use in offices and shopping centres, so I suppose it can handle quite a few. I'd recommend you check MikroTik's docs or some test results.

The highest level has an unlimited number of VPN tunnels. The rest of the features are similar to level 5. You can learn more at the MikroTik docs here: help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/RouterOS+license+keys

Hi Leo, if you have any step by step configuration that would be great. as I have bought the hap ax3 and cap ax recently and unfortunately I can't share the same positive feedback as you, so maybe I am doing something wrong. my issue is the the wifi range is poor on both devices but mainly poor on the cap ax device. So please share or at least make a video showing us a step by step how to configure the 2 devices.

Hey Leo, your videos have been helpful in the past. I was wondering if you could help me with an issue. I reset my cAP ax and now it's inaccessible. I'm reasonably familar with Mikrotik. I've reset it in multiple ways (to CAPsMAN, full reset). The only thing I haven't tried is net boot.
@LeosTechCorner6 ай бұрын
Hi there. That's a very weird issue. It may be that the os got corrupted while resetting. I had a similar issue where my cAP ax got stuck in CAP mode, inaccessible from any device. The only solution I found was to reset it multiple times in a row which overwrote the old config. I don't know if this is going to help with your problem and if not, I'd recommend talking and possibly returning it to your seller. Hope this helps. -Leo

Any chance you connect this AP to a CRS310-8G+2S+IN ???
@LeosTechCorner10 ай бұрын
I currently don't have the CRS310 on hand, but in theory, you should be able to connect them without any problem. Although, in my opinion, you will be wasting the potential of the switch since the AP is only capable of 1Gbps transfer speed, and the switch is capable of 2.5Gbps.

@heyitsjel Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the review, but I think your numbers are a little off. Often with iPerf you need to run multiple instances simultaneously to fully saturate your network link. If you're pushing 110 mb/s over a 5ghz wifi connection, that's closer to 880 mbps link speed (multiply by 8 to convert from megabytes to megabits). This is actually very close to what you could expect over a gigabit ethernet connection. Theoretically, gigabit ethernet connections can achieve 125mb/s (ie. 1000 mbps / 8 = 125 mb/s). Due to some overheads on both the hardware and software side, you'll typically see closer to to 118-119 mb/s in real life. So for a WIFI6 AP with only a gigabit uplink port, this isn't terrible, given the overheads (ie. wifi signal strength, and the fact that any PC hard wired to this AP which you're trying to transfer data to, will be limited to gigabit connection speeds).

Hi there, thanks for the awesome video. Is there any update on the WAN failover? Also, can you power the device with any USB C charger or powerbank?
@LeosTechCorner Жыл бұрын
I couldn't get the WAN failover to work. Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of time this week to troubleshoot the problem. It probably had to do something with the firewall settings. To address your question about the power adapter, with the small power draw of the router, you should be able to power it using a power bank. Also, yes, you can use any power adapter as long as it can provide 12W of power.
