You can actually connect both through Bluetooth.

You can use keyboard on iOS 12 but cannot use mouse

He has the 2. gen Not 3. but its Not really a Point cause the only difference between both divices is the Fingerprint Scanner, all other specs (processor, RAM, Grafik) they all exactly the Same so everything what work on 2. gen is still Supported in the 3.

Yes correct, the mouse only works for iOS 13 and up.

@@unknowntay739 Sorry but I have not tried final cut pro, you may check if it will work with iOS 12.5.1 then it should work with iPad Mini 2. I bought this at mac center 4 years ago.

No, it connects perfectly with lower than ios13. Mine is ios12.5.1

depends on how much you should pay, everything over 60$ used is just overpriced, but if you get it cheaper as that, its absolutly worth the money, iOS 12 gets still Security Updates from Apple (last one is just some weeks ago), its still very good in everydaytasks and iOS 12 still Support a lot of Apps wich are very usefull and/or important.
