Dorney is definitely 2nd only to Hershey in PA. If base it on the entire park experience and what they offer. WWK is by far the best water park in PA and probably the entire north east. Knobles and Kennywood are great though. PA is stacked.

09:36 I measured up to negative 2Gs in this outter bank 🙈 that’s some wild floater 😂 but this ride is a master at hiding its true potential… I was going in with pretty high expectations but was blown away 🙈

I live and worked at Knotts Berry Farm, a big issue there is there isnt any more land for them to expand. They could theoretically solve that by building parking structures like Disneyland ended up having to do bjt that is a big investment. It could also give them the opportunity to combine the portions of the property that are cut off from each other, like Independence Hall and Soak City.

I just sent an email to Six Flags great adventure reaming them out for improper notice of Kingda ka!!!. I’ve been trying to go there for 18 years and I had wrenches thrown in my plans every time never got there. I let them have it ripped on them dropped a few F bombs told them to send this to corporate. Let them read it. What an idiot way to operate a company don’t care about their customers just being bean counters! they can go to hell I will never go there ever.

Also rides can become rougher, uglier and potentially less safe as they grow older. The average lifespan for a rollercoaster is 24 years. An example is Nemesis at Alton towers in the UK which had closed due to it getting too old to operate, although they reopened it a few years later with a retrack. In this instance, they first wanted to remove Kingda Ka, which is right next to it, due to ut getting old and expensive to run, but they wanted to build a bigger and better coaster in that place so removed this as well to make way.

The problem with announcing it, you have to pay to keep it open and if people travel there to fid the ride closed - not good pr. cost to keep it up was keep going up. also, there was an issue with the drop tower and they had to fix that ride to extend ka's life, which they already decided to close it. if posting - more bad pr and possible costs.

Whatever replaces Kingda Ka has to be way more than just "world class", it also has to at least be the tallest in the USA & the second tallest in the world. I also hope it breaks a world record with some unusal element with a more well rounded layout.

Loved this video. I was cracking up the entire time. But in all seriousness this new ride needs to be on such a level that no one expects it. If they went to a manufacturer like Mack or Intamin with those words knowing what they are replacing, with an insane budget, they will deliver. But they need to deliver with an entire new themed land along with flats and 1000% a new drop tower. This needs to be like the year that six flags magic mountain opened X2 Deja Vu and a Kids coaster all in the same year. Or 1999 when great adventure opened Medusa and 24 other rides. I just hope Cedar Fair gives a F***. Because based off of how they handled this they have no idea what they have done.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Everyone's expecting this new attraction to match or surpass Kingda Ka. I hope it can deliver a similar experience but my gut tells me that CF is gearing the park towards being more family-oriented and focusing less on thrills. I pray I'm wrong.

I’m super mad that Twister, Zumanjaro and Kingda Ka are going away. Twister was literally my favorite flat ride at the park. The Suspended Top Spin from Huss seems to be still being made so I won’t mind that for Twister. If the Top Scan from Mondial was still being made I would love that here

Canada’s Wonderland gets crazy crowds even on weekdays. When I went in 2022, I went on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday was rainy all day so it was pretty empty and I got to ride ever. Wednesday was nice and lines were out on the midway.

I would love an Intamin Launch or an S&S Air Launch in Kingda Ka’s spot. The spirt of Kingda Ka would curse a B&M Wing Coaster especially a launch wing coaster. An Intamin could have the most airtime moments and the tallest inversion in the East Coast
