@@natebohnhoff9520 hey, so that was a drill through from the fin box. It’s a more traditional style like the old glass on leash loops. It creates a smaller cleaner looking finish, whilst also allowing the fin box to become the anchor point.

The yellowing in this case was due to the previous shaper having already attempted to shape the blank and left it out In their garden for a while. In terms of glassing, I’d always aim to have a uniform finish. Normally I work to around 180 grit with mine, some people may go higher. But to answer your question, I’ve personally never left any yellowed foam on my blanks so I can’t answer that from experience. From an aesthetic point of view though, I’d definaltey aim to remove it.
