Back when I learned to fly as commercial pilot. That much of an abrupt power change, from takeoff to climb, was considered unacceptable. My Instructor considered that, too alarming to the passengers. So much has changed since I leaned to fly. Great video either way ❤

Sunrise actually - takeoff to the north (34L), turn to the east. Beautiful tho - you're absolutely right!

It is very rare to see takeoffs from Washington Dulles on any runway other than runway 30. Most IAD departures use runway 30.
