Kia Orana, loving these videos🥰 my Granddad is from Mauke, I’m trying to find history on his mother (My Great grandmother🥰) Tea rii Aitu . We just found out that granddad has succeeded land in Ngatiarua under my Great grandmother. Would love to hear stories from the people of Mauke on who my great grandmother was, he also succeeded under Ipuru Taura could be my grandads Grandad? Ive never known my family from Mauke. My Father arrived in NZ in 1965 and never went back. Biggest regret in his lifetime

Awesome journey bro..ooosh that's alot of work. Thankyou for the heads up on what we need to do to get the containers to the islands. We're sending ours to Aitutaki n I recon its the same need to use a barge to get it on the island. Will need to pack little stuff into crates. That's hard work n thanks to the local workers for their generosity in making it happen all praise n glory to God.😊👌👋🙏

Guys the only arikis that ever existed in the history of mauke are the descendants of Uke Ariki and they were Temaru Moenau Tamaiva Taraare Tapou and any other are concocted or falsified and the same with the ngati all new and invented Just listen and understand to our cultural songs which tells and explains our stories and history

I commend this young gentleman who has the desire vision common sense to undertake such mission in a remote island who he is ancestrally akinned I applaud you highly .If the cook islands govt could only involve itself in the financial economic and flexibility towards the imposition of costs such as shipping customs and others a deterrent and discouragement to those who honestly are dreaming to come back home to implement their dream in various income generating enterprises The economic development has unceasingly been towards Raronga and that's fine but time must now be for the dreamers of the outer islands otherwise one day in the future our grand children will ask how come there's no more people in Mauke papa ?well mokpuna we sat on our arse and did nothing for too long

yea you can book a trip on the Taunga Nui on any of their voyages. The crew are friendly as and it comes with a bunk bed and 3 x nice as meals a day. To book, hit up CIGT (Cook Islands General Transport)
