What do you mean? We normally drill for hours and hours at a time. It's not meant for you to watch the entire thing... you'll probably be bored to death... it's just to give you an idea what drills you can do for game scenario to help improve your game. You must not do any drills... just gameplay kind of person. Thanks for watching.

Thank you! At Point Blank Sitting Duck distance even if they know it's coming it will still be very difficult to counter the attacks since its so low over the net and they have to guess and reach to the left or to the right in a Split Second. If they just try to block it back to my feet it would just go into the net. Unless they can reset it perfect into the kitchen I'm looking for a Shake n' Bake opportunity. This shot is meant to attack the opponent at their kitchen line. This is my first bucket at this drill... 100 more buckets to go. Thank you for your comment.

@@TooHonestButtTrue So why would you say: Doubt you’ll ever get into a cross court duel... Your 2 comments contradict your original comment. "Ever" mean never.... and your 2 comments says: "usually" and "mostly" straight up. So if there are any chance that there are cross court exchanges then why wouldn't we practice it? We are not Pros. So the exchanges can go anywhere... and I want to be ready for it. If you take your own original suggestion comment then you wouldn't practice cross court volleys??? We try to do all kinds of game situation drills here to be well rounded and get better.

@fkporsche1 You must not play pickleball. This is call a "Drill" that's how you get better at anything. This is how she gets better at defending and get faster reflexes so her opponent can't pick on her. Calling me names says more about you then me. How would you like it if someone goes to your channel and call you names just from watching a video not knowing anything about that person. They would call you a Jerk. Don't you have better things to do then spread negativity to the World? Don't be that guy. Practice Zen... Chill out.

This is 3.0 play (only because you asked). The guy in the light blue putting everything into every forehand looks like a table tennis player. You're absolutely right, the guy in the blue shirt has table Tennis background. The lady has Tennis background. The tall guy has no racket background whatsoever. He started learning how to play from scratch last year. Hoody has tennis background. Actually we all started learning to play just last year. In the beginning of our pickleball journey, all we did was dinking and we didn't get much of a workout. So we all decided to play the Power game to get a better cardio workout. And it was soooo much more FUN. If that makes us 3.0 then we're 3.0 at best. Thanks for your comments and thank you for watching.

3.0 NTRP, 1.5 DUPR, "Intermediate" at most pickleball places. There's practically no movement during points. This would be standard play for aged 50+ that have been playing for 6 months.
@richpickleball9730
@richpickleball9730 3 ай бұрын
If we have practically no movement, how do we get to a lot of balls for a putaway? Apparently you only watch 5 seconds of the clip and made your judgment. And yes all 4 of us are in our mid 50's that you are correct. Thanks for your comments and thank you for watching 5 seconds worth.
@RamonRamon609
@RamonRamon609 3 ай бұрын
If you’re asking why you are able to do a “putaway” it is because you are all hitting the ball to each other and not using your shots to move other players. You are playing rec for fun and fitness and not to win. In terms of movement during your 23 hit rally you can see there was very little sideways movement and no backward movement whatsoever. At 1:45 white shirt was not successful at their partner’s mid court for a poach which would demonstrate lateral movement. At 7:25 blue shirt successfully moved white shirt laterally. But only 1 shot was returned by white shirt to black shorts who wasn’t able to get a full jump out of the kitchen again this would have demonstrated lateral movement. Black pants is the only person in this group who is able to successfully poach balls has the best movement and positioning. At 7:45 he notices white shirt is not able to move forward so he himself takes several steps back to cover. Also at 10:12 black pants returns to position from a wide ball and hits a successful ball - something the other players do not throughout the whole video. Again, the players in this video are average 50+ players who play for fun and fitness. 3.0 NTRP and 1.5 DUPR and intermediate play at pay to play places is a reasonable evaluation.

First of all, thank you very much for taking the time to explain in detail your decision. If you only take 1 or 2 points and Nick pick, you can always prove your point. Even high level play make silly mistakes and isn't always in perfect positions, much less us beginners... In the beginning of our pickleball journey, all we did was dinking rallies and that was so boring burning hardly any calories... so we all decided to play the power game hitting to each other and allow each other to make mistakes rather then always hitting clean winners in the open areas. We're 50+ we don't need to be moving Lateral like crazy Twenty year olds and getting hurt and be out for months. Haven't you heard Pickleball injuries are on the rise. There's no trophy here, just pure FUN. According to the Pickleball skill level, we possess more skill than 3.0, so your analysis is Definitely incorrect for 3.0 level. If it was correct, we wouldn't be able to hit hard shots with our forehand and backhand or be able to block hard-driving groundstrokes. We wouldn't be able to have crisp volley exchange either. Or a put away overhead with any kind of power. What level do you play? Can you show me some of your videos play? I'm sure I can learn from it....
@RamonRamon609
@RamonRamon609 3 ай бұрын
@@richpickleball9730 the NTRP scale is not dependent on age. When considering pace the standard for fast is that of professionals, 5.5+. Would you consider your “hard” shots good enough to consistently get past or force an error against pro’s? If not, then you are hitting at moderate or medium-paced speeds. These hits would not be considered fast. You are posting videos and asking the audience to rate and grade play then disagreeing when the rating isn’t as high as you thought. I don’t post because I know I would not be able to withstand the scrutiny of evaluation, nor do I need the validation of strangers. Again, this is intermediate, 3.0 NTRP play. If the goal of your videos is only to collect compliments, please make that clear. Asking for an evaluation then disagreeing is not constructive. Please play for fitness, for fun; and post for these same reasons.

We are not small guys. Two of us are 6'0 and 6'3... and we're ripping shots Full Power... as hard as we can hit to the 50+ year old man in blue shirt. And he's able to react to it because of his table Tennis background... that's not a 3.0 shot. We've play an open play with 5.0+ Players and they have problems handling the full power shots too. They don't always block the ball back to our feet successfully. Because you're doing with reflexes... It's always easier say been done... By watching the technique of black pants, you can tell it's legitimate tennis foundation not rinky dinky push shots. I don't need people's compliments. I'm just saying your analysis is incorrect. 3.0 do not have many of the skill level as black pant player display... Nothing personal just having a discussion with you.

I initially was going to state 3.0, but i do believe the consistency, as well as defensive blocks moves this level to 3.5. There is still a fairly large lack of understanding in game theory/ strategy taking place in these points, in addition to some very poor misses, which again is why I state 3.5. The players do demonstrate the ability to block well, dink, and keep the ball in play, which is why I believe this is slightly higher than 3.0.

We are able to hit hard groundstrokes on both sides consistently... We are able to handle hard volleys from our opponents and redirect it consistently... We can dink all day too IF we like. Just because we don't play the traditional 3rd shot dinking game classifieds us as a lower level players... I totally understand... that's the Pickleball community philosophy. We have a different strategy and philosophy to set up the points. There is shake and bake, there are poaching and there's hard drives to set up a pop up for a put away. There is tremendous strategy going on just not your brand of Pickleball... which is 80% dinking. The way we play we get so much more workout and cardio then dinking all day like we use to play. If banging, isn't a winning strategy, then what do you call Shake and Bake at the Pro level? They bang all the time to set up shots for their partner. More and more Pros are driving hard 3rd shots and dropping 5th shots, not like they use to do 80% 3rd shot drop. You see 4.5 level and 5.0 players haven't problems controlling the hard drives all the time. They don't always control it successfully... The Paddle technology is getting more powerful. It'll come to a point where can your reflexes catch up to the hard drive? I see high level players get beat with the hard drives all the time. It's easier said than done to eat their lunch but not that easy... The game is beginning to change whether you like it or not more power is introduced and creeping into the game... starting with Jack Sock.

My apologies to the man in blue! Try Postural Restoration Institute physical therapy - not being smart here. Really helps me with mobility and muscle balance. I say this to everyone. Find a good practitioner in whom you have confidence. @@richpickleball9730

lol You're probably right. But we sure have soooo much Fun with tons of Laughters. This give us much more of a workout and cardio then just dinking around. I know what everyone in the Pickleball community is saying... if you don't 3rd shot into the kitchen then you don't know how to play pickleball. Pickleball is evolving... might not be true in the near future anymore with all the new Powerful paddle technology.

3.0 to 3.25. A lot of banging. Not much strategy, poor court positioning.
