You need to find the correct X-mount, while mine is a micro-four-thirds mount in the video. That lens is wide enough to cover the APS-C sensor, so you can find the X-mount version to try.

I recommend installing the Blackmagic Cam app and selecting external audio. The app allows you to choose the desired audio source, assuming the cable and adapter are properly connected.

If you’re using the Sennheiser G4 like I am in the video, you can even select the output power to control the volume for the best signal. Personally, I just leave it as is because if you use the built-in app, it will automatically adjust the volume. Of course, ideally, I still prefer to record with a proper external audio recorder like the ZOOM H1N, but when in a rush and you know it’s fine, this setup can complete my recording jobs in one shot.

I remember when SLR marketers were looking for anyone to test their lenses online. I signed up and emailed them. The terms were that I needed to pay the full price, but they would refund or give a 50% cashback after I uploaded a video review or a written review on a blog post. Once I uploaded the video and emailed the KZbin link to them, I effectively got a 50% discount on that new lens. As you mentioned in your comment, the lens can be soft when used wide open at F4, but it really depends on which camera it’s connected to. The softness can also help soften the digital sharpness of newer cameras. I have since sold that lens because I now own the Pana-Leica 8-18mm F2.8-4.0 wide-angle lens. At that time, there were very few ultra-wide-angle options, but now there are more brands and models to choose from. If you don’t mind manual focus, there are even more choices depending on how wide you want to go. Personally, if the Lumix 9mm F1.7 had been available then, I would have definitely chosen that model (assuming you need autofocus).

You've addressed the soft focus issue, but I'm still a little curious if it was hand picked by SLR Magic.
