Can you make a video on how to build the smaller Norman gatehouse
@Agent_Matt_6Күн бұрын
The thing I love about this series is how it meets both historical accuracy and usability at Minecraft’s Iron Age tech as opposed to the saturated landscape of super advanced redstone farms, and that’s coming from the person who things building a tic tac toe computer out of redstone logic is a good idea

Bro this is seriously great content. Most Minecraft videos are geared towards little kids and don’t go enough in depth about what they’re doing. This is exactly the kind of stuff I’ve been looking for

Your builds look great, your keep is under construction in my world right now in my self made village. You should consider making a vid about castle walls that follow the landscape and have curves and maybe how to build them over hills. I know it would be useful for a ton of viewers that have been following along with these historical builds. Teaching us about history is a breath of fresh air by the way, not many mc youtubers do that. Keep it up man you definitely earned a fan.

My farm only produces 18k an hour. Is anyone elses not producing the 31k per hour that was said the farm was suppose to produce? Edit: It turns out that my collection system could not handle the amount of items coming in and most of them would despawn before they could be collected.

Will use this as a starter base, will look great in a taiga biome. Looks more proportional and practical then many more fantasy inspired builds
@Rhosus15 күн бұрын
I'm really glad there is someone out there/here making actual reality inspired minecraft walls and castles and not fantasy ones. Absurd majority of "castle" guides are overstylicized disney castle builds not reflecting proper medieval fortifications at all. Concerning nitpicks I have towards Minecraft, I really wish there was something like carpet you could just put on walls to simulate the white look of castles from Central Europe caused by plaster. atm making 3m (or 3 blocks) wide wall of the defended side of palace/tower that just looks like cobblestone or stonebrick from both sides just doesn't feel right, so what ends up happening is that 2 out of the 3 blocks have to be replaced with concrete or terracota XD

Loved the farm. Created the same farm in my server but im not being able to use it as xpfarm bc the spawn rate stops near the farm. Even after iluminating and removing the water the spawn rate improved but didnt improved to that efected. Im trying to think in a way to use portals or another way in order to bring the guardians to Y 150 in order to have the spawn rate of afk while being able to kill them with the sword. (i know the players after the spawn rate but its not that bc the spawn rate changes from a lot to 0 while just changing to a higher Y). Great afk farm by the way.
@dudieboy15 күн бұрын
@@jaimecardoso4279 No, you must stand at least 25 blocks or more away from the farm to maintain spawn rates. Gnembon came up with the best guardian xp farm but here is another by @ianxofour kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpfapHymorSqmpYsi=sehQ6xxSvIePDGBO

i think you should be able to shoot from the tower at the walls, i mean, not the upper wall, the lower wall, if there are soldiers or mobs hiding in a blindspot, you should be able to shoot them from the towers

Great video! One suggestion: could you include a list of the dimensions by floor/area in addition to your existing list of materials? :) Sometimes it’s a bit hard to follow along with the speed (which is good) and the way the Minecraft camera is. I understand if that’s too much tho! Love how you explain the historical context and the functional purpose for your design!

Absolutely brilliant build. I love the historical details and that's coming from someone who lives 10 miles away from Tutbury Castle and has visited many historical sites. The materials needed actually put the insurmountable amount of resources I pulled from my Diamond mines to use and it is definitely intended for early - late game as you build a setllement around it.

This was a really neat video and I'll definitely share this with other players when I get my minecraft geopolitical server running but I do have a question. What do you think about making the walls 5 blocks thick/wide with three interior layers being obsidian by using the same method used with lava and water for a cobblestone tower? As in using the design you've presented but with some added PVP security
