Es una obra extraordinaria. Los iterpretes como papillon y dega creo q nos dejaron a Los q nos gustan las historias reales en el cine lo mejor q sea podido ver en las pantallas. No me canso de ver el final de la película con la despedida el mar los protagonistas y la música. Pensando en lasinjusticias antihumanas para el capricho de unos gobiernos despiadados y asesinos.esta vez pudo la inocencia contra la sin razón.

Embora tenha-se dito que a história de Henri Carrière é verdadeira, muitos franceses que vivem na Guiana Francesa afirmam que foi fabricada. Isso porque documentos mostram que Papillon foi para o cárcere em Saint Laurent e provavelmente escapou de lá, e que ele nunca esteve preso na Ilha do Diabo (hoje conhecida como Iles du Salut), como é mostrado no filme. Além do mais, o filme e o livro mostram a ilha com um terreno de pedras montanhosas, sendo que essa não é a real geografia do local.

Exact ! Charriere a fabriqué son personnage Papillon avec divers faits réels subis par des forçats . il les a réunis et en a fait sa vie! Tant pis le film est parfait et dommage que Steve Mac Queen n’est pas été oscarisé ! Quel acteur 🙏👌!!
