I now have this 1959 TIMEX 100 with original strap, today from America, been after 20841 bayonet for the US market for sometime, it’s actually gold toned 35mm/1.40” without the crown, thickness 9.9mm/0.39” made of aluminium, just think that I was 3 at the time of this commercial.

At the time I had an old fashioned reel to reel tape recorder & I recorded John Cameron Swayze, among other TV personalities whose voices I liked, in order to train my voice to sound like theirs. It worked, but now I have a deeply ingrained Middle-Atlantic Standard accent, which has all but died out.
