There were a lot of locals in Peckham, New Cross, Deptford and Bermondsey who weren't really interested in football, and would never go to Millwall away, but would always turn out for a crack at visiting fans and the police. Stabbing police horses with hypodermic syringes to make them rear up and throw the rider was considered a good sport. The little streets between New Cross Road/Old Kent Road and the Den could be wild. A very, very scary place if you were OB or an outsider.

Love football mentality. I live in Norwich and went to a pub wearing my Bath Rugby shirt (which is blue). Some prick came and called me Ipswich scum. I tried to explain it was a Rugby shirt, but he still maintained I was wearing blue in Norwich. Luckily, I’m 6 5” 19st. So just swatted him off like like a small gnat.

The Millwall fans that left 10 mins early, didn't even see there team equalise to make it 3-3. It just makes no sense to me. It's not about the football/supporting your local club, it's about kicking it off, and slinging bricks and bottles. Crazy.
