The driver is always in the driver's seat. In the back, you have some sitting on the center line (neutral weight influence), three sitting on the driver's side, and one in the very back on the right. How is that optimizing the center of mass? Almost all of the weight is on the right side of the van. When these vans have accidents, I believe it's because almost all of the weight is on the driver's side. The imbalance makes them uncontrollable if you have to turn suddenly. On a highway, the road will be crowned for drainage which makes the problem even worse because the overweight side of the van will be lower. If you have to hit the brakes at speed, you will end up rolling over into the grass median. If you want to keep these things on the road, you have to put your heaviest passengers in the front passenger's seat and the rearmost seat on the passenger's side. Pack some suitcases or weight on the door side too. Get it level. The center of mass needs to be in the center of the vehicle. They could design the seating to be safer, but that would cost them a few bucks.

Waiting for the 2024 model. I was told the chip shortage would be sorted out by then and I can get a lot of the safety features and ventilated seats that none of the 2023 models I’ve seen had. It’s a beautiful car with a soft, smooth ride, but I want all the goodies.
