Hi there....im a HUGE Star Wars fan (the same films you've listed, not the Disney crap apart from Rogue One) but I'm not overly tech savvy but thought this question I'm asking 4 years later might be valid. I've just bought a brand new 4k tv with obviously newer tech than what was around 4 years ago when you made this review. So my question is, would these 4k films look better on newer tvs with better upscalling and features like quantom dot technology? I hope my question makes sense and I'd love your feedback as im thinking about adding these 4k versions to my collection 🙌😊 Thanks so much🙌😊

I have Volume 4 and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I have a soft spot in my heart for NIGHT KEY - I hadn't seen it since I was a kid. THE CLIMAX is underwhelming, though. It is effectively a sequel to PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (Rains' version), and I was never a big fan of that one, either. One thing you don't go into much are the commentaries. They mostly focus on biographical details of cast and crew along with some production details. You don't get the loving critique that we see with Universal/MCA's "Universal Classic Monsters", but that may be because the material is not available. I'm looking forward to getting Vol. 6 - or Vol. 1 to upgrade the "Bela Lugosi" DVD that I have now. Hopefully Amazon will have a Halloween sale, as I am only a poor corrupt official.

Notably, "Prequels did Fail in some areas" ..shows Jar Jar picture 😂. "LAST time we"ll get Star Wars physically..." Ironically on front of each episode "FIRST time on 4K" ..😊

Yh I have 2 4ks don’t notice the difference so I prefer to have them all on blu ray so they are all in the blue cases I don’t like having 2 black cases ruins the collection

I completely agree. Kathleen Kennedy is a glorified coffee girl that wasn't even good at her job then. We see exactly what it's like when Kennedy is in charge. Her and her team are untalented hacks

BTW are you using a qled or oled TV and are you using a panasonic 820 player also because a combo of those will likely show you the actual difference

Sticking with the prequels and Rogue One on Blu-ray, but only have DVD versions of the original trilogy. Best Buy sold 4K versions of those for $13.99 each on the 4th so I couldn't resist the upgrade.

£10 for all 3 on bluray or £40 for 4k? Worth the extra or not?

From the boxes I see that the first three movies have audio and subtitles in Spanish, but the fourth does not... could you confirm if the last movie has subtitles in Spanish even if I don’t indicate it in the box? The audio doesn’t matter, I like to watch the movies in the original version with subtitles. Thank you.

Not worth the upgrade especially since They don't give you the option to view it as it was seen in theaters as opposed with all of that CGI baloney they added in. Back in 1997

Great review! Just ordered the UK box set cause apparently the PS5 will play 4K UHD region locked at the very least and those are the only discs I’ll be using, plus I’m happy to get individual containers for each movie.

So for the whole set you're looking at about $300. Not worth it

I must say I HATE when people say they, “don’t consider the newest of the saga part of the saga”. This simple is NOT FACT ! It is part of the saga and thus the story of the skywalker saga. I do AGREE ! They were not as good. But get over it if you are a STAR WARS FAN ( at the least ) and want to own this series you MUST GET the WHOLE SAGA. NOT STOIES AS MUCH JUST THE SAGA in itself. But that is so hardheaded of an individual to avoid THREE movies simply because they weren’t as good but still but the rest??? Hypocritical.

We need the spider woman, the spider woman strikes back, the Pearl of death, the brute man, the leech woman, the mole people, monster on the campus, curse of the undead, this island earth, lastly Abbott and Costello meet, Frankenstine-mummy-invisible man-mr. Hyde!!!! IMO the complete less classic universal monsters collection but still fun to watch!!!

I would pick up all 6 volumes I might I love commentary! My favorites are the invisible ray, man made monster, night monster, house of horrors, captive Wild woman,jungle woman, jungle captive, the mad ghoul, cult of the cobra, the thing that couldn’t die reviews would be awesome if they would release lesser known universal monsters and these were featured it would be a slam dunk my opinion!
