Both you and aevytv have taken a lot of underlying assumptions. Running to US is a very individual perspective. It's like someone offering you a bribe to get away from the mess your family/community is in. In the end, both you and your community are losers. And whoever that bribed you always wins. They'll throw out the H1B or L1 Indians once they no longer need you. Wait for Trump 2024.

This is how I see it - US is about "high risk, high reward" for an outsider. Basically, the US has implemented a system where only high-valued individuals are brought into society. If u are passionate about griding, there is no reason for not to move to the US. And even if u fail in grinding, they'll be valued much more in India than if they had not moved.

I don't know if channel will delete this comment. I just graduated from a Top university( US Ranking under 40 for national level, Top 150 internationally and Top 5 in country for my specific degree) and I will tell you this. If you want to do your masters and get a job successfully you must have at least 3 years of job experience in your relevant field in India, select a degree in same field, join only in the university that provides you scholarship, get a RA or TA before landing into USA, find good roommates and accommodation, maintain 3.5 above GPA while taking actual useful subjects and you definitely must do one year internship in single company or 6 month internship in 2 companies each within your masters period. And above all this you must have good networking skills because 50% jobs goes through references with current market conditions ( I have been in market for 1 year now and I have seen all ends of the spectrum), and must be mentally fit to tackle loneliness and food compatibility issues. If you think you can honestly keep up with this, then trust me you will get a job easily. If not do not even think to come over here. Take this as a warning and don't waste your precious time and money.

Things you mentioned is pretty obvious, that’s how you become adult. Did you apply for at least 500 companies? How much interviews did you give and failed? Dude prepare for interviews at least 18 hours a day for 3 months then come back and comment here. You have to work hard if you want a good life.

@placidnick100 High of you to assume that I am not working on my interviews. I have applied for more than 800 positions across LinkedIn, indeed, dice, glassdoor, and several talent acquisition agencies for full time, part time and contracts which includes and excludes sponsorship. Things are not the same dude. There are lot of ghost openings, companies are straight up hanging up the call if I say I need sponsorship in future, they are expecting 3 years of job experience as minimum for junior level positions. Don't just spout nonsense when you are not in my shoes

What would you say about the huge debt of 34T of american economy bubble which will burst soon, that is why the inflation and tax rates are increasing every year, american economy have been printing unlimited dollar that is why it partied hard, while the rest of the world suffer, remember roman empire too fell down due to inflated gold coins, the party of the american dream. Shortage numbers out in the market are deceiving numbers by certification and training vendors again in gold rush people who made shovels made more money than people actually looking for one. And most pay less than software development back in India unless you join Cybersecurity dedicated MNC not easy feet either right after graduation. But yes it is indeed the type of work that integrates into all aspects of modern society and if the challenge of constant deep technical learning doesn't bother you, you will be always in demand in Cybersecurity 😊
