Very hot take but this is still my favorite RMC, and I have experienced all of them but Hakugei (will change that in August). It was my favorite with the launch and the chain lift felt like it slowed down the coaster a tad in March but my recent rides in the heat made it feel fast as ever by mid day.

Lightning rod was my first ever rollercoaster and I remember cussing on it because of how intense and fast it is. It’s so weird to see the chain lift and not seeing it launch up the lift, a slow pre-drop, and a slower quad down. Still looks good, but never the same. How reliable is it now?

Really? It's a staple ride at this park. There's a mural in the park with it as the main ride.
