I used new cable for choke ran into same problem with dashboard end pulled cable out collapsed tube where it meets grommet on the old section as it has a raised lip where it inserts to hold in place then pushed factory grommet onto new section of spring worked great was marketed as direct replacement but I didnt like the way it let the cable twist n move around was worth time spent doing as they dont come with that flat spot on top

The bezel that I am cleaning was very dirty and this is my first try at cleaning crome this way. Any scratches buffed out with the polish.

I always use the quad 0 for chrome never tried the double. It always makes the chrome brand new for me with no scratches even on plastic chrome. Does the double 0 scratch?

These are such beautiful trucks. I just posted a video of a ‘56 Ford pick up. Good luck with your truck. Enjoy. Thanks for posting.

Lot of semis made that way but engineers got it wrong. . Should be RH threads on drivers side and LH threads on passenger side...

They are Goodyear tires but yes still impressive that they still have air!

Alot of semi trucks are the same way and on the rear of those that are the inside lug are actually studs with a square head to tighten them and nuts for the outside tire

Left turning threads were thought to prevent nuts from backing off from vibration while driving

Great thought but it actually works opposite... Left side should have RH threads while right side should have LH threads

My 76 Mazda pickup was like this. I found out by trying to change a flat in a driving rain. Kept thinking "how the hell did these lugs get this tight"

Looks like bud style wheels. The idea is that if the lug nuts are not properly tightened on both side that only one tire has a chance of falling off not both. The rear tires are even worse. The inner tire a special lug nut (no clue what they are called) that looks like a stud extention that holds the inner tire on, then the outer tire gets put on and it also has its own lug nut. These things are a ton of work and more annoying then they need to be.

Inner nut is what they are typically called. The idea with right and left lug bolts and studs is that the directional rotation will not try to loosen them.

Keep up the good work it would be nice to see you tackle the installation process a bit more but other than that the rest will come with time and experience
