their guest policy for their lounge access is absolute TRASH tear. the $75000 min spend to get 2 free guests per visit is BAD. The charging of children between 2-17 is wild. BUT (sarcasim coming) atleast they allow you to give your 13 year old a credit card for $195. So if you have a family of 3 and 1, 2 year old. Your wife will have to have a $195 card, and you will still pay $30 for you 2 year old because you cant authorize that 2 year old yet... Better policy (minors free) as long as the boarding pass shows some kind of family connection or boarding pass connection or some kind of pre registration on the card (whos family). and cut the dam extra card to $95. I am a Cap one main, and their policy is 100x better. The amex card has SOOOO much utility and could be much more competitive if they just did my policy. Instead i look at the Amex card as a 2 year move to blue cash card, collect the 175k sign on and use you probably additional 20-30k + 25k renewal grab points to book a couple trips to Europe, and wait till the next cycle that you can reapply and re capture the sign on bonus, and rinse and repeat.
