seriously new guitarist sound great, speccialy at the moment where DP currently was- i remember 1995 when Steve Morse join DP and change totaly their live power, now they drop power to help Ian Gillan but for sure Simon sound brilland, speccialy in Blackmore's songs, Steve got this type of guitar magic that anyone can be try play correct but Simo play his songs good. Not offence to Steve Morse who is a very skilled guitarist, but i never found him to be a good fit in Deep Purple, he was a bit too flashy and more along the lines of a Joe Satriani/Steve Vai type, Simon McBride the 'new' guitar player has captured the original feel more closely on the classic tunes, closer to the tone and pace and without all the flash, making them sound better than they have in years.
