I actually learned a little bit about the VSH crashes. They were often caused by blood decals, specifically the ones that show up on the player when injured. Apparently Saxton Hale's model doesn't like that. It *Really* doesn't like that. And that's why the game crashes. Easily fixed by disabling blood decals.
