A reboot? Only a passionate person who isn't influence easily by others would do a good job writing it. If it was just about cool fights and stuff maybe up to volume 3 was good but apart from that Rooster teeth fell and drop kick any good ideas that the first volume was trying to create. Yep, miss the 'mean look' Blake always gives.

Maybe CRWBY thinks that if they do fight one of them has to die instead of interrupted during a good tussle or barely survive at the skin of their teeth so they don't have them fight. Most animes would have that sort of pairing go back n forth until the big "agni kai" yaknow? Zuko and and Azula had a couple tussles until that BIG fight but the creators don't want Ruby and Cinder to fight much at all. Now 4-6 was a recovery period of new animators and switching to Maya and I think they were looking for new writers too. And I think even Qrow got replaced along the way. So maybe all of that disruption played a key role but I think if they could afford to just stop and think what interactions would be cool between rivals with bad blood would be, then we could've gotten something great.

I personally wish that a male is the current Summer Maiden, like Qrow mentioned in Volume 3 about a dude as somehow the power could go to and Glenda said it was known now as intimate, not pass down to young women that was originally known and so yeah, it's also predictable for the person to be a female and they need to try something to break the routine & the Relic needs to be protected then ofc that male should have body type not muscular and something like Ren and/or femmale.

What sucks is that, we technically did see a RWBY vs. Cinder in Volume 8, but only for like 2-3 seconds before Neo one-shotted Yang. So yeah, we did get a fight but it was offscreen.

They’ll probably never have a real fight because it’d too one-sided either way. Either Ruby Silver Eyes her into submission or Cinder uses her Maiden powers to overpower her. That’s likely why the writers kept skirting around them ever having a proper confrontation. I don’t think they’ve even exchanged dialogue with each other since Cinder pretended to be a student, which makes it rather difficult to form an established dynamic between them.

With everyone wishing the absolute worst for Cinder, I say I want the battle to end with Ruby’s group, instead of killing her like Salem is probably counting on and all of the RWDEs want (because God forbid women do anything a man would do and be praised and/or forgiven for), capturing Cinder and doing something no person in her life had ever done before: show her mercy. Think about it. Salem has always counted on her enemies showing cynicism, “pragmatism”, and cruelty, so her enemies showing optimism, idealism and kindness? Salem wouldn’t be expecting that. And instead of simply being killed, Cinder is captured, and is therefore removed from Salem’s influence and given the opening to be shown genuine sympathy, positivity, and kindness for what may be the first time in her life. Her parents? Probably weren’t alive long enough to show any kindness. The orphanage? The kids picked on her and the adults always took their side. The Glass Unicorn? The owner and her daughters abused her and Rhodes was too scared of breaking the law to be accused of kidnapping while helping out. Salem’s inner circle? They couldn’t care less about her if they tried. The heroes? Hate her for justified reasons. Team RWBY have already seen first-hand the horrors of Salem’s Grimm-experiments back in Atlas. And in Ruby’s and Yang’s case, are almost certainly grappling with the looming possibility that their mother was subjected to similar horrors. And thus, through acts of mercy and kindness, themes the show consistently enables, Team RWBY is able to completely blindside Salem, removing one of her most vital agents from her control, and ultimately turning her against Salem. Not to mention it would play perfectly into the themes of Choice that have always surrounded Cinder: By chasing after Ruby to Vacuo, Cinder; the girl who has spent her entire life being denied a “choice” by those in power above her, is finally making a choice. And after spending the entire show dancing obediently on Salem’s strings, Cinder is defying Salem. And through this choice to defy, Cinder inadvertently puts herself in the position to be finally freed of Salem’s control. All because of the same Little Red she’s traumatized and wanted dead. Can you guys just imaging her being another Zuko? An abuse victim who spends the entire show doing awful things because that’s all they’ve known, fights using fire, and has a permanent scar over their left eye? SALEM: What are you doing? CINDER: Something I should have done a long time ago, standing up to you! What I’m not looking forward to is the RWDEs harassing CRWBY over “another forced redemption arc” that is not any more forced than Adam’s or Ironwood’s would have been and is only being disliked and called forced because it’s a female villain receiving something nice. @anthurak has a post about this on their Tumblr.

Well, instead of moving on, she could just replace vengeance with justice. Think about it. Ultimately, it was a Grimm, SALEM'S Grimm, who killed Roman. She may have moved on, yes, but in order for the memory of Roman to stay pure, she has to seek justice for those who caused his death ultimately.

Ruby and Cinder may not have the chance to battle each other 1 on 1 yet, but when volume 10 will soon come when Ruby will improve herself and even become more powerful than ever before, she will have a score to settle with Cinder alongside with Jaune to defeat Cinder once and for all.

And I dont think they will have a proper fight. We saw how quickly Ruby, in the right mindset, could just delete Cinder. Even when she isnt, all it takes is one moment in the fight to recollect herself.

I kind of head cannoned the eye thing as a small Grimm Salem put there to make sure the mission is completed like a smaller weaker Seer.

Honestly I’d much prefer it if Jaune was to 1v1 Cinder and come out the winner. If it was Ruby instead, it wouldn’t really feel right if she got the kill.

So, the reason why Ruby's silver eyes hurt Cinder in V3 is due to the Grimm Beatle fusing with her. Her Silver eyes [[ only ]] work on creatures of Grimm and those under their influence. She can't "control" who they affect - its just going to hurt grimm and destroy them if they're weak. Because of this, the writers seem to try and skirt the two of them fighting at all times. Why? Because it would single handedly be the most one-sided and worst fight they could ever do. Why have a fight when you literally have a character that can insta-win with a flash of their eyes? It's not fun, its not good, and if they DONT pull the insta-win button it would make fans confused as to how/why Ruby would not just... DO IT. ( And just give us a repeat of Haven ) . Personally, I see the "Cinder Kill Squad" as Jaune / Weiss / Emerald with the possible inclusion of a late Merc near the end of the fight. I feel those 3 have more than enough reasons to want to get Cinder Gone, and if that last moment in V8 was a hint to anything it's Jaune, Weiss and a green character are gonna fight Cindy. That or we're just gonna give Cinder to JNP(oscar)R while RWBY deals with Salem.

Ruby would be going up against the fall maiden, It seems they really need her silver eyes to be a part of her victory at this point. That's probably when we'll see our fight. I believe Ruby's silver eyes are a threat only to Cinder because Cinder still has that grimm parasite in her, the grim she used to steal the maiden powers with. Plus her arm is grimm as well, not sure if that's part of the parasite or not

While it wouldn't be a semblance "evolution" per se, Weiss is still holding back with regards to what she can do, whether she knows it or not. At this point, she's used to combining her normal glyphs with dust - but she's never tried fusing her summons with it. Imagine a hundred exploding nevermore feathers from out of nowhere, or the knight being made even stronger by infusing him with stone or hard light dust, or the Queen lancer being fused with wind dust to make it weigh less and therefore fly faster. It would probably take a lot more dust from her sword than what she normally uses, but some important fight I can see her pulling that out. Hell, she can even throw in time dilation onto her dust-infused summon to make it even tougher to beat.

What if they use the sword of destruction to kill salem? Like a "mortal blade" from sekiro
