10/ Invest early and be patient 9/ Read every day and build knowledge 8/ Don’t upgrade if you don’t need to 7/ Avoid debt 6/Be consistent and disciplined 5/ Believe in investing in yourself 4/ set long-term money goals 3/ always have cash in reserves 2/ develop smart spending skills, develop a sense of frugality 1/Look at value over price. I think right now; at this day of in age; The biggest factor that’s affecting people financially negatively are these car payments. Amazing tips. Thank you.

Thanks for your comment! And I totally agree! The average monthly payment in America is $726! Insane

Yeah ; it is insane. I’m a “late bloomer” at learning all this stuff. But like they say, ‘it’s never too late’. My wife and I both have older cars. Hers is a 2010 and mine is a 2005 with 225k miles. They both run well; The temptation is always there to want to replace them with ‘something new’; but hence: “VALUE OVER PRICE”. At the end of the day, it’s cheaper to pay for maintenance and repairs on our old cars than it is to be stuck with those 500,700, $1,000+ per month payments for the next 5,6, 7 years!

"The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money. Take boots, for example. ... A man who could afford fifty dollars had a pair of boots that'd still be keeping his feet dry in ten years' time, while a poor man who could only afford cheap boots would have spent a hundred dollars on boots in the same time and would still have wet feet." - Sir Terry Pratchett. men at arms

So basically, you buy a house, and then you leech off another family so YOU can buy a house and they can't? "Smart real estate investment strategy" Sounds like pure parasitism
