I can never get a good fit, (Pinkie) with any of the medicine bottle slides. Thick walled pyrex works the best for me. And my favorite is a tarnished brass slide. Gritty and raw, especially with a Firebird.

I have a question, I just purchased a used amp similar to this Deville, it powers up but no sound, even when I plug a cable in and touch the end of the cable. The fuse you removed on mine is not illuminating like all the others. Could that be the problem. Everything lights up and I get amp noise at full volume but it's like the input Jack's are dead. Thanks

I know it’s all subjective and I’m listening through my shitty phone speaker, but man the copy sounds really close to the first slide. The first slide had that touch of warmth in the tone that the copy just didn’t quite have. And the rest sound ehh. I do like the sound of a metal slide though, gives you that Johnny Winter touch of grit.

Hey just watched your video as I have the same amp with one exception - mine is the ML inspired by version. Circuit board looks to be about the same capacitor wise. I recently changed my tubes with 2 mullard 6L6GC, Tung-Sol 12AT7 in V1, and 2 Mullard 12AX7 in V2,V3. But now I have a low slight crackling sound. Do you think it might be the capacitors? And if so, how much should I expect to pay (approx.) Amp has always been kept on a stand in my house and no beers placed on top - :) Thanks for any advice!
