Isn't that interesting. My local dealer told me the T254 wouldn't support a 3rd function. Recommended I get the T25 with a 3rd function. Seems he was working to upsell me. How's the 3rd function been working for you?
@AlansDay-UPGRADE-PERFECT25 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. Our TYM dealer in Tennessee added the 3rd function, it works great for the Brush Graber. it was over a $1,000. Not sure if the T25 has that option included? The T254 with no weights (fluid & wheel) is very unstable/dangerous when using the loader. Because we have a very small property, that is why we went with the T254. If you have the larger property and plan on using the loader, the T25 is a safer option. Good Luck
@HitchRollRelax25 күн бұрын
@@AlansDay-UPGRADE-PERFECT I asked my local John Deere dealer for a quote on a 1025r. $2500 of that was for a 3rd function. JD is soo expensive! I'm looking at the sub compacts because we live on a mountain and need the 4x4. It will primarily be a mowing machine but having the loader and a grapple for cleaning up areas is a plus. Planning to add wheel spacers to the rear for additional stabilization. I'm afraid the t25 might be too heavy for my yard as a mowing machine.

Remember to keep the trailer brakes adjusted. Most people don't know that the brakes are adjusted by going under the trailer and removing the plastic plug in the backing plate, then using a brake spoon to spin the adjusters. If you ever upgrade the axles get Dexter axles with NEV-R-ADJUST Brakes and NEV-R-LUBE Bearings. They are life savers.

Good explanations, thanks. Does the air dam you installed bring more road dirt up onto the engine and into the radiator, charge cooler, etc? Have you inspected the upper part of that dam to see what is accumulating?
@AlansDay-UPGRADE-PERFECT2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. So far no extra junk in the radiator/cooler. When I have a water hose near by, I do give the back of radiator a quick squirt, just to stay a head of the dirt.

Where did you put the thermostat for the fan operation? // edit sorry I went back and found where you said you have it on a switch in the cab. Not ideal IMO, but thanks for the order info, and installation detail. I wonder if it could be mounted vertically on or next to the engine radiator? You install makes me want to put a screen on the face exposed to the ground. There is a lot of gravel and small debris blasting around under there when under way. Did you consider this? During operation, how often do you have to clean this trans cooler fins? Thanks!
@AlansDay-UPGRADE-PERFECT2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. Yes, I am the thermostat. I keep a close eye on the gauges. When the Coolant temp or the Exhaust temp starts climbing I flip the fan switch. Good idea about mounting a fan next to the engine, I could not find a good area on this Motorhome. The fan on the trans cooler blow up, so when I turn the trans fan off, any thing sucked up in the fins should fall off. the fins get hosed off every once and a while. One more thing on the check list.

I like the seat! My seat in my Newmar pusher is getting finicky. Sometimes it will adjust, sometimes it won't! It's tough when you've had it at the shop and a mech adjusts the seat to fit him then it takes me a few days to finally get it back in position to fit me. If ya don't mind, what was the price on that one? Appreciate the tips, kinda new to this class A rig, always had 5th wheels in the past. This 2004 only had 43K miles on it and I got it for a steal. I really like the older models that do not use diesel exhaust fluid and all the crap that goes with it!
@AlansDay-UPGRADE-PERFECT2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. I like the seat also, the seat I put in our motorhome is Legacy by Seat Inc. the same seat that professional truck driver use. I think its was around $1,200. The older models are the way to go. Good Luck with your Class A.

Excellent! Back in 1968 I was a 15 year old farm boy. We had dairy cows and a huge barn loft that held our hay. A thousand bales filled it. I was the tosser, my dad was the stacker and my little brothers were the feeders. The pay was balogna sandwiches and Pepsi for lunch… but, when we worked for the neighbors, we each got a penny a bale to do put up his prairie grass hay… but when he did the alfalfa hay it was a cent and a half! It was heavier and the itch factor trippled. Y’all epitomized the fun that carried us through the hard work! PS… great editing and camera work too!
