Try using a textured pei build plate it works well for me
@AZ3D_printing2 күн бұрын
That's the build plate I'm using. It's because Prusa's (older) textured build plates have a manufacturing residue that makes PLA prints harder to stick.

What if you printed the crystals white, then change the lights color, would it be a cool modification?

Yeah! that sounds rad! Unfortunately, the led itself is single color, so I would need to switch parts to make that happen.

Special Thanks to the Sponsor of this video! PCBway: Use this link to get 5 dollars off your first order: pcbway.com/g/Nz0TxE P.S: I'll probably ditch the use of bearings on wheels because they aren't going to turn so fast that it really matters. But this can be really helpful for the weapon-hub! P.P.S. sorry for the terrible captions/editing. This is literally the first video I am recording the audio and video together (live!), so I will need to adjust things. Thanks for being on this adventure with me!

I cannot remember who posted the video... A guy compared enclosing printers using trash bags taped together versus name-brand enclosed printers. He didn't even support the bags---they just flopped around the moving parts. It was a riot. The trash bags pretty much did the job with ABS and other more difficult materials. There was no noticeable difference in his small set of examples. Fun times. Nice video and thanks!

In this specific case, wouldnt better print it upside down?
@AZ3D_printingАй бұрын
Correct, that is one way to do it. In my opinion, the overhangs would be the same upside down, so nothing would really change (support-wise). But that really depends on personal preference, since bed adhesion would be different, etc.

Very clever, I've also recently liked to take things apart and see how they work. Did you design this or buy it? Just curious, dropped a sub
@AZ3D_printingАй бұрын
Thanks! I bought it for the car, but the sticky part was coming loose. Will definitely try to recreate this via 3D printing in a future video. I appreciate the support!
@NotSymetricАй бұрын
Great. With PCBWay, do you have to configure wirh the slicer settings or can you just drop in the file from your design software? Also, do they remove supports for you or is that something you have to ask for in assembly if you want it. Thanks
@AZ3D_printingАй бұрын
Pretty sure they will remove it for you. I would specify it in the assembly just to be safe. www.pcbway.com/helpcenter/3d_ordering/Will_the_supports_be_removed_upon_completion_.html#:~:text=After%20the%203D%20printed%20product,default%20C%2Dgrade%20sanding%20finish.

Twice 8 is 16. The normal funnel only took 11. So that's about 20% faster then, which is still worthwhile. And why do you have to slam up everything you're saying in huge captions which obscure the video - you're already speaking the words!

Is there anyway you can bring in an image to use for tracing when you create your own custom shapes in Scribble?
@AZ3D_printingАй бұрын
From what I know, probably not. You can try to convert the image to an SVG, and import the svg as a thin 3D object. Would definitely use Fusion 360 for those uses (use the free personal account).

Thanks for your video. To creat unique color variations, this is great. I buyed the last months for arround 17€ one kg, so I wouldn't do it to save costs. I always print a small test print with the Bambu A1 Mini after changing the filament to dual-color, so that I can estimate the color gradient well before printing. I also designed something on Makerworld, if anyone can use it. The name is: Dual-Color Dial
