I was buying my PC games regularly from The Gamesmen starting back in 1994 with the good old C&C series, Quake etc. When I walk into the Penshurst store every week or so it brings back good memories of all those times spent browsing / buying games (when PC games came in BIG boxes or air). eBay is a scam company. After 15 years with them I’m closing my account. I pulled all of my items today and refunded people who bought things and cancelled sales. Had a guy buy a rare item from me that’s expensive. Gets it and says it was opened when it never was. Now I’m out of the value of the item. eBay claims they’ll cover the lost value but up to only 50 percent and even then you have to fill out paperwork and take pictures and then they have to determine if you even get it and this after you gotta cover the return shipping. Avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid eBay at all cost. Predatory against sellers.

What does eBay do when a seller tries to scam the buyer by only issuing a partial refund claiming parts missing but the buyer never opened the package prior to returning it to the seller?

Lies. This doesn’t work. Ebay will simply ignore it. I tried it with a buyer who claimed the item was wrong color (orange) even though item details and description both said it was orange. Ebay always side with buyer regardless of how bogus their claim is. INAD is a guaranteed free return for buyers and everybody knows (and abuses) it.

What is your thought, when you give customer coupon, but still on promoted listing ads, thus your margin will be lower right?

After 23 years and over 3 million in eBay sales and nothing but a stellar history eBay started holding my payouts for 20 to 30 days. They hold payouts roughly 40% of the time. I have changed nothing - same equipment - same pricing. I uploaded the tracking and confirmed delivery and still they hold my payouts. Currently, they are holding $10,900.00 and have been now for 23 days telling me that "they need to verify the signature when it was delivered" as if they are actually going to match up a signature card. It is frustrating, and it is insulting after working together for this amount of time.

Can you mention the names of banks which are accepted by ebay for payouts

Don't bother selling through ebay. They've been closing seller accounts down for no reason. Stick to websites with trust rather than this site that abuses their sellers.

Dont bother. They'll ban you without reason after some time. There are better platforms that treat their customers better.

NOTICE: Ebay wants to do transactions on your own personal bank accounts. They do not trust their own Paypal for these transactions. The suggestion is, open a new account with your (or any) bank. Use the details of that account for ebay sales, so at least you get paid some of the money they owe you, then close the account. Or don't sell via ebay. If you do give them access (that's withdrawl access by the way), so they can do their test transactions, what's to stop they introducing various fees, such as inactivity fees? Nothing.

i just got laptop returned - that buyer has damaged by dropping it and I don't even have option to ask ebay for help - I can choose damaged and it takes me to "refund" button. Can't call ebay as well - EBAY these days is for scammers, just buy it , use it, abuse it and return it. What other service or store gives you such a policy.

So let me get this right, you hold onto other people's money in your account until you decide it's ok to hand it over, make a good skimming of the interest then charge 12% selling fee and pay out when you see fit, only giving a rough idea when the funds will be transferred ✌️ awesome thanks

This is rediculous, why isn't PayPal used anymore, I sold an item, and used to be paid immediately. Now I have to post and it be delivered before I get paid for the item I sold. If I have to wait till the end of the month I will pull what I have listed. Forget eBay I will head to Etsy or Gumtree. Not happy Jan.

All good and well but you still refund buyers of low-cost items who did not wish to purchase the tracked post so what is the point

These return process wouldn’t be useful for people returning used skin care and health supplements , these kind of products can’t be resell once it’s been opened and used. Either way the seller is in loss side😢

eBay can add your pictures to its catalog and then people can use them but it's not in eBay's terms that people can use your pictures that are on eBay. I have a person buy from me then reordered from another seller that took my picture, the buyer then contacted me about an issue with their second order assuming they had bought from the same seller.

Hi, I am an Ebay Plus member in a NSW Rural Area. I have a buyer in a Rural Area 7 hours away wishing to purchase a fold up wheelchair which the Post Office says will cost $95.00. If I offer 'Free Postage', who pays for the $95.00 postage fee? Does Ebay supply a print out label which covers the 'Free Postage' or does the Seller add the 'Free Postage cost of $95' to their Selling Price when listing - eg. Instead of selling wheelchair for $100 + $95 Shipping = Sell it for $195 with 'Free Postage'.
