The only thing the video proves is how much Cecile screwed her up, no wonder why she’s distancing herself from USAG. The person says to Cecile that she MUST give the score for which she’s appealing while Cecile was just saying “Inquiry for Jordan! Inquiry for Jordan!” Not only did she WASTED time waiting to get her husbands confirmation to go and send an inquiry (in the video she’s asking him what about Jordan and he says “vas y!!!” so he tells her to go), but then she’s asking for an inquiry mentioning just a first name while the person calls her back indicating to her that she must give the SCORE for which she’s appealing and Cecile replies in French 59, meaning probably 5.900 the supposedly D-score Jordan should have had. When she said 59 she was indeed way late and it is proven in the video 😂.

@@makaylalovesgymnastics Don’t be naive and stupid. The FIG technical regulations state that verbal inquiries are accepted but YOU MUST give the reason. Yelling a name, especially a first name in a person who doesn’t have English as their native language is NOT a REASON for a inquiry. People aren’t obliged to memorise names of hundreds of gymnasts, especially first names, and of gymnasts they may have problems memorising their names. How easy is it for you to memorise Greek names? Chinese names? Indian names? Korean names? Hence when you inquire you mention THE SCORE for which you inquire and the element you think was downgraded or the neutral deduction your gymnast received that should have received in your opinion. So mistakes are minimised. There is NOWHERE written in the regulations that you YELL THE FIRST NAME OF THE GYMNAST AND THAT IS A VERBAL INQUIRY, NOWHERE. You ask for an inquiry indicating THE REASON. When Cecile mentions the score for which she inquires, she’s way over the 1 minute. She literally screwed up Jordan and she is the reason why Jordan lost the medal.

On the broadcast you can see Cecil and Laurent talking about an inquiry and Simone goes “for me”? And says something about Rebecca having the gold. It’s impossible to hear the conversation but from lip reading and the body language, Simone most definitely says she doesn’t want an inquiry submitted for her. Then Cecil says for Jordan and Simone says “oh okay, yeah”.

I really think they had it in for Simone and in relation, Jordan because of Simone’s dominance and the bowing on the all black podium. For federations’ that claim artistry is gone, blah blah blah, Voinea has none. Whomever had the bronze medal, I think it would be unacceptable to strip the athlete!!! That is unheard of unless cheating or drugs were involved.

if anything I thought team Brazil was underscored… Rebe deserved like a tenth or two higher on bars, they hammered Lorraine, I felt Flavia’s beam and floor deserved a few tenths higher, Julia also scored very low on floor and Jade’s dty had a bad landing but was good in the air, and they took almost 2 points off? fire Donatella!

I disagree Mak. If Cecile was a good coach, she would have took that Gogean out. Also, the problem is with the e score judges. If they would have scored Jordan’s routine correctly with an 7.4-7.6 e score, then there would be no controversy.

As unpopular as it may be, I think Jordan's original numerical score was fair, and Ana's execution was underscored from the start. Before anybody try to come for me. I guess I got to preface this with, I love Jordan, I rides with Jordan and team USA all day. I'm just giving my unbiased opinion based on what I observed with my eyes as a longtime informed fan of the sport.

I gotta say my peace/rant. The issue was with the judging/scores, but they are attacking Jordan which is crazy. Simone got a deduction in the beam finals because they said her salute wasn’t long enough. I don’t hear anyone ranting about that. Judges make bad calls. I reviewed Voinea’s floor routine from the final and qualifications. In quals, she went out of bounds but didn’t get a deduction. In the final, right before she did her punch front it is questionable whether she went out of bounds, and she got a deduction. People can say a lot about Jordan, but she knows how to stay in bounds. She never went out of bounds in quals, team final, or floor final. Also, Voinea’s D score went down each time she did her floor routine. 6.2 in quals, 6 in team final, and 5.9 in floor final. Did her coaches find out which skills weren’t being credited? Did Voinea correct those skills? Did her coach submit inquiries for the skills that weren’t being credited? Looks like No for all of those questions. People scream follow the rules until they don’t follow the rules and it bites them in the butt. Now they are screaming to change the rules. GTFOH.
