Learn the rules, people. Remember, if someone says that something is a rule, it does not mean it is actually a rule. "3.5.2.1 Players and coaches or other advisers shall refrain from behaviour that may unfairly affect an opponent, offend spectators or bring the sport into disrepute, such as abusive language, deliberately breaking the ball or hitting it out of the playing area, kicking the table or surrounds and disrespect of match officials." "3.3.2.5.4 [the umpire, not the players, may] decide that the conditions of play are disturbed in a way that may affect the outcome of the rally." "3.4.4.1 Play shall be continuous throughout an individual match." There was no intentional behaviour on the Alamiyan's side, and dropping a word out loudly is not against the rules per se. Lind should have been given a yellow card for disrupting the game. Besides while it is NOT an offence, it is still relevant to mention Lind's hostility when the ball hit Alamiyan's face at 8:51, and Lind did not apologize. Lind should concentrate on the game and his own fair play.

Why can't you show the rally in one continuous shot? Why do you have to switch the camera in the middle of a serve? Just so you know, a rally is: ball in hand, ball toss, play, and scoring. Go learn from 'ttlonndo2012'.👎👎👎👎👎

I was watching a tournament live in Bangkok, and Noshad was the only one without a coach/support staff for that one. I kinda felt sorry for him. Then I saw how poorly he behaved with the umpire and the opponent and changed my mind.

There is no such rule. The umpires were correct. The players should both have completed the rally and if there were an issue, the umpire would have called it out.

I have been through the ITTF rule book and can't find this rule. I also went through the additional rules for international play and can't find this rule. Can someone quote the rule number?

2-9-2 Play may be interrupted 2-9-2-1 to correct an error in the order of serving, receiving or ends; 2-9-2-2 to introduce the expedite system; 2-9-2-3 to warn or penalise a player or adviser; 2-9-2-4 because the conditions of play are disturbed in a way which could affect the outcome of the rally.

Finally someone who cares about reading the source. There's no rule in the books, Lind just made it up in his mind. The rule that exists talks about intentional disturbance, and it should be determined by the umpire while the point should be played until it naturally ends. No one is supposed to stop in the middle of a point and demand a replay. Lind's actions were not appropriate and deserved a yellow card. Funny enough, it's possible to suggest that Lind himself created disturbance for the game, the very argument that he tried to pursue against his opponent.

I think it was completely fine if the opponent has no issue with the talking. As he has objection, the rules must be followed. Rules are created for this very reason, to be followed.

The rules say u cannot speak. But u can make voices.. And u shuldnt stop playin if the ball is on and the ampire didnt stop. I say point goes to wierd backhand player! Any body notice that 1 time he smashed the ball with his right hand.. very interesting

Both of them are definitely good players, but immature and stupid at the same time. It's common sense that you should finish the point except the referee stop you and the complain afterwards. And acting immature in front of a camera is just embarrassing.
