Doug Brown goes back to the era when all the races were fixed back before they put the slot machines in the racetracks. Doug was the king of stiffing 1/9 shots at Orangeville raceway and running all of them dead last.

Taking off the hub rail was huge. Thank goodness that happened. Still though I like the passing lane and would like to see that on more tracks. .. and Anthony McDonald LOLOLOL .... the round wheel! YES LOLOL

I love it to this day. My uncles and aunts in the business helped get me interested. I wish one day I could learn to train, drive and own standardbreds but still fighting to overcome my anxiety disorder which has limited much in my life. Things have gotten better this year health wise and maybe one day I will be able to do what I need to do to reach my dream of training, driving and owning standardbreds. For now well I have to settle watching them at Hiawatha Horse Park and on tv and cheer on Mark Williams and Doug McNair ... my favourite drivers.

Horse lover Windsor and Essex county use to be a great place for horses but the goverment dosn,t care obvious they don,t want racing around because people where more into the track than the casino. They ratter destroy the econmy than face the fact that the people perfered the track over the casino so that's just what they did in Windsor. As of Jan.01/14 they even took away our simulcast wagering away and don,t want the track any where near the casino even tho the puplic dose. If your wondering if casino destroy cities it sure did in Windsor.

I owned a horse called Nobuddy. We had a lot of fun with his name. People would ask who do you have in and I would say Nobuddy lol. He was a gentle soul had a great personality and tried every time out even when he was sore. My favorite of all time that I owned was Liberty Tower racing in Sask. he was in the top three 21 out of 23 starts. Was a frustrating horse because he would never leave but came home in 28 and would look each in the eye as he passed them.

This is what people need to hear more of in harness racing then maybe it will get a greater following again. I know it is not that simple but someone needs to produce a show for tv to promote harness racing again in a way that is not just about gambling.
