I don't live in Athens but from what I remember most if not all stations have lifts ask someone else though for confirmation

I ran across your video while surfing around looking for information on Navcommsta, Nea Makri. I was stationed there in 1970-71 and almost bought a BSA motorcycle to ride those wonderful mountain roads. I remember the intersection at the bottom of the mountain road had a single 60 watt bulb hanging over it.

Arriving in Athens on a Sunday morning from the US. Know I’ll be somewhat brain dead from long flights and no sleep. This was very helpful. I will need to get Euros when I arrive. Are the ATM machines inside the main airport terminal? Are there any in the bldg. where I will catch the metro? I know to be very aware of my surroundings and cautious of pickpockets…do you think they’ll be active on a Sunday morning?

Hi! I am going to Kefalonia in 2 months and am considering staying in Zola village for 2 nights. What is your view on the village?
@motorcyclegreece15 ай бұрын
I'm sorry I missed your question Sonia and hope you had a good trip. Zola is a tiny village and you need a vehicle to travel from there to Lixouri or Argostoli.

Beautifully photographed and the music reflects the calm beauty of the town's surroundings in our days, though it must have been very different during the Peloponnesian war, when most of the Athenian shipments of grain came through Rhamnous.

@motorcyclegreece15 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure this little beach has a name.Beautiful little spot, but Kefalonia has hundreds of nice little coves to stop for a swim. This one is beside an old tavern which is closed now I think.

Hi! Great film! I have been here (so far) 5 times. Eleutherai means "freedom", and it was the city of Dionysos (cult). Dionysious was also a synonym to "freedom" because of the wines way to to fine things to our conciousness. :-) The celebration of Dionysious was baybe after the harvest.The Dionysious-celebration once a year in the city, was adopted to Athens, and the development of the theater started (under Pausanias), and developed. The name of the first theater is Dionysios and is at the slope of the Acropolis. So, In a way, the city is important for the establishment and development of our culture. But, the city also fostered a great artist: Menon, which made "The Discusthrower". The city was left about 550 BC, as an allied to Athens under the terror of Thebes, some miles further north. If you would like to join me on a trip, see www.parrhesia.no

We share an interest in the history of our democracy, Anders. Many do not realize that it was the Greeks at Thermopylae, Marathon and Plataea who saved us from a very different and barbaric world.

No. Constantinople was never greek. It was Roman then ottoman then Turkish.
@Panagiotis_P Жыл бұрын
Also another proof of konstantinoupole being mostly Greek is that the church Agia Sofia is Orthodox and Greeks are Orthodox even though Romans were and are Katholics didn't want to tire you or confuse you just wanted to try to clear up things a little
@Panagiotis_P Жыл бұрын
I don't mind that much that Constantinople is not Greek anymore the only thing I want is for Turkish government respect Agia Sofia and monuments and not destroy our history and christian monuments just want easy access and peace 🕊️ also I would love if it was possible for the church to work as christian no hate though 😊

The bus ticket costs 6€, not 10.
@Robert893496 жыл бұрын
Dimitris Sartzetakis it is 10 though
@DimitrisSartzetakis6 жыл бұрын
aleksandrosgrigo I just said: “The bus ticket is 6€ not 10”. I didn’t refer to the metro ticket. And I said that because in the description writes that both the bus and metro tickets cost 10€ which is not true.
@Robert893496 жыл бұрын
Oh ok. The bus needs at least 20 to 30 more minutes to reach the center depending on the traffic. It stops at Syntagma so if your accommodation is near omonia or metaxourghio where many hotels and Airbnb s are located you'll still have to get on the metro, so it doesn't worth it for everyone to take the bus.
@DimitrisSartzetakis6 жыл бұрын
aleksandrosgrigo Yeah, of course. Unless you’re going to Piraeus, for example, which going by the X96 bus is 4€ cheaper than going using the metro.
@DimitrisSartzetakis6 жыл бұрын
aleksandrosgrigo Oh… I made a mistake. If take the bus to go to Syntagma and then take the metro, it’s still cheaper, since the bus ticket is 6€ and the metro single ticket is 1.4€, so someone will pay 7.4€ instead of 10€.
