Thanks for the good review, Rich! I’m late in the game. For 2 persons, would you say 18 better size than 12, yet still easy to carry around?
@richpeace55753 сағат бұрын
So, we have both. But we also have two young kids. I’d say the 18 is what we use the vast majority of the time. We tend to use the 12 only when traveling very light or for just me on a quick overnight/day trip. If you’re light packers the 12 will probably be fine, but again, we use the 18 much more for any more than one person.

Question will it hold 6 32oz bottles of Gatorade
@3for5spotshooter14 күн бұрын
Can the loop be cut off and then nail knot a leader to line connection ? I bought an early clear line and it did not hold a nail knot. The exterior would be cut through completely when tightening the knot and the slick interior core would not hold the nail knot. The manufacturer then told me no one should ever nail knot a fly line rather than admit their product defect.

Here in my country, the small Yeti Thin Ice is $100 😢 The Yeti Hopper 12 is $1000 😅

I think everyone understands that block ice lasts much longer than cube ice. So it's no surprise When you have block ice added to your ice cubes, you get better performance and longer ice retention. The real question is, does yeti ice in its block form perform any better than frozen water in its block form of the same equal size? That remains unknown

Great review but I only use the zipper lube every six months after a deep clean of the cooler. I haven’t experienced any issues with my zipper.

You CAN use them standalone like you said but yes, longer trips and higher temps, this is a supplement only. Still awesome. I love being able to take a 10L cooler and a couple bricks, precooled with cold drink and food for beach days. Just enough chilllll for a day.

Lol works not one bit better than ones I bought on temu and filled myself. But I forgot "it's better because it's yeti" with much of the yeti crowd. 😂😂😂

Do you have to buy yeti lubricsnt or csn you use somethjng like vaseline?
@richpeace55756 ай бұрын
Typically they provide one w the Hopoer 18 purchase. If not then yes, I think any type of Vaseline like lubricant will work. Might have to check on warranty though and whether that would impact a replacement if the zipper broke.

@@jeffreyrupsam1231 I have 1 LBS 2 LBS and a 4LBS Which I also use for my yeti lunch bags. For the roadie I put the 4LBS in the bottom and 2LBS on top Which works fine. Honestly whatever works for you best You can’t go wrong If it doesn’t work return it 😅

I have a 64 oz swell. If it’s out of the sun and not to hot it works great. In the heat and or direct sunlight it’s about as good as the styrofoam cup. I bet the smaller one is much better. Also they are fragile. I dropped it and it got a good sized dent it in.

I know this is an old vid, but anyone who comes here should know that Ozark trail 2lb is $12 compared to $24, and the same performance. What you need to consider is the size and how it fits. I use a combo of Ozark Trail and Yeti ice for my 2 day picnic cooler.

I spend 170-200 nights per year on the road with work. Sometimes I will have a 2 day drive to smaller towns with very limited food options. I pre chill with cleaned out windshield washer fluid jugs the night before and then use the 4lb packs (2 for my 20, 4 for my 45) and no additional ice. Obviously all my food to transport is refridgerated and/or frozen before going in. Ive mounted a thermoworks fridge/freezer thermometer to both coolers to be able to monitor whats going on in there. Mid summer I have no issues getting my food where it needs to be safely. The ice packs may seem expensive but the fact that they fit so perfect and do not bulge when frozen is nice. Just like the coolers themselves I would recommend to those who use them very often.

I bought one of their first clear flats fly lines for the bonefish fishing in Hawaii and caught allot of large spooky bones for years and it worked well. It's tricky guessing the distance but your eyes get trained while casting. The clear fly line thing is well worth it when fishing spooky fish.

When I use the Yeti Ice as instructed, with the yeti ice at the bottom and the mound of ice cubes on top, I find that when I open it up a few hours later the ice has formed a giant ice burg and all of my cans and food are encased inside of this brick. Do you have a solution for this? Or am I just doing it wrong? I find it really annoying

This is one of the better reviews I've seen. Great job! I just went through the recall where my M30 was recalled and the Hopper 18 is what Yeti offered as the solution. I don't think I am going to be disappointed. Especially since I never liked the magnetic closure on the M30 anyway. It was very awkward to hold open while loading or unloading. Thank you for posting this review.

This review is spot on to my own experience with Yeti coolers and Yeti Ice. My family spends a lot of time at the beach in SC during the summer, as well as, outdoor entertaining at home. The coolers and ice bricks always hold up to the temperatures and frequent cooler openings.
