WOW!! I just did method two without elastics. Comb well, divide in the center, bring hair to the front, grab it with one hand at the length you want it and cut above your fingers, not below. Then I combed the front half of my head to the front and trimmed it so it looks straight. All the money I have spent over the years on hairdressers!!😵‍💫

But, why do you have a very thin section in the back after the first 2 methods? I actually have used the 3rd method a few times. It comes out pretty straight except for the very middle back of my hair. I just ask my husband or my grown up child to straighten it for me. I wish I could fix it myself, but my hair’s very thick and wavy so I think that’s my problem. I’m just brushing up to do it again tonight. (No pun intended:) Thanks for this helpful video!❤

Cutting your hair only slightly sprayed this way will give you longer ends up against what you are cutting. There is no “real” clean blunt cuts unless your hair is WET! Those dryer hairs shrink up in the frey of all the other hair and you never get them… Then when you do get out of the shower and style all those hairs that were still dry and shrunk up in the head will comb out longer now they are sufficiently wet! Leaving uneven cut !! Pls stop saying you can do a straight line cut in ANY direction where there hair is NOT fully saturated!!!

Just now I did by myself and it worked for me..

My sister cut my hair into layers, which would look totally fine if it weren't for the fact that my hair is sometimes wavy, so it looks sort of uneven in the back unless I completely straighten it then it looks good, but I hate damaging my hair so I'm trying to cut it completely even from my longest layer soooooo I'm going to try this and I will update if it works. [Don't worry I love my sister she didn't RUIN my hair lol]

I tried it. It looks bad. I thought this would allow me to get rid of the longest bit of my hair that always grows faster. It didn't. My hair was still longer on the left. The best thing you can do is have a back mirror and then just straighten your dry hair and grab the pieces you want to be shorter, hold them in front of you and shorten them cm by cm until you get symmetry at the back. My hair looks better now that I did that. Some locks grow longer because they get less damage or search and destroy method

For the second option, do you position your fingers at the exact length you want cut? Do you adjust it?
