fun tip: with the big purple guys jump on their head a few times and they become smaller and easier to kill :D (ik its a bit late for this tip but yea :D also this video helped me figure out alot of things in this game so tysm also rlly fun to watch :3)

Beat this boss last night on normal i know not nightmare took awhike dont know if i got lucky or just outplayed him using calamity claw and magic hit using lloyd and randy as psudo evade sheild with aqua mirage

I know everything will be fine with 100% evasion and some food hack, but man, abyss difficulty is unfair, you only have handful of characters who can abuse it(juna, machias, GAIUS) but beyond these 3,it is impossible to run abyss 100 without items. Spam chrono burst? Soon you are out of mana. And you cant even do anything at all, the enemy move 8 times in a row. Break only last for extremely a while unless you use those 3 characters above, as soon as enemy gain turn, they simply annihilate ur party.

Use spark dyne, it is a single most powerrfull spell with lowest mana cost since it only atk 1 person. But what i dont understand why arianrhod here so slow, iirc, she move 2-3 times in a row, but here, they keep spamming spells

Is this fun? There seems to be no skill involved. You abuse the mechanics and constantly spam max guard and simple crafts. Sky 1-3 is just a bad game gameplay wise.

The "skill" in turn based rpgs like trails, is to prepare your party, give roles to characters, prepare the equipment and skills acordingly and then use them at the right times. You choose the Arts and Attributes for every party member etc. Most of the work is done before the fights, the rest is adapting to unusal enemy attack patterns. And with those things sky did a pretty good job. Especially on nightmare a single mistake can lead to instant KO.

@@pilgerfuchs219 yea... Single mistake sometimes cost you soo much on nightmare runs. I mean, its not that hard to see even in later games, even on standard enemies which you just stomp... WIth advantage battle start, but if you suddenly are at disadvantage you might just be wiped before your turn even starts, yea, mistakes hurt in these games

I beat her in Hard. I spam adamantine guard and reflect. Abused Randy s craft. Took a while but I managed to do it. Cant even imagine doing it in nightmare

You can choose to not do them and miss this boss. A lot of people will never fight this guy because they won't want to stick to the mini-games.

It has now been 22 years since the last turn based ff. (One that was only turn based due to a tumultuous development no less). I think it’s time to move on man. Dragon quest is right there also being made by squenix

@@anton8964 why would they use a different title when the franchise as a whole has been actively chasing a more active battle system since the introduction of atb in 4 which was specifically added because the developers thought regular turn based was too boring.

Fans don't want a FF that not JRPG. that why new FF never surpass their superior predecessor. the new ff so simple. no well thought battle mechanic . no hidden efect . no thing that make the battle interesting beside smashing button.

I still prefer the original Jenova theme that plays on your way down the platforms to the planet's core. The Jenova Synthesis theme tune was good though, not gonna lie. The remake is so amazing I thought I was gonna be disappointed.

Tbh kind of surprising ppl say it’s hard cuz I remember beating it first try with evasion strats. The Sigmund fight was way more annoying cuz of the time limit

I'm on the side. Sigmund was really easy. It took me tops 2.30. But this one, kill me a couple of times before I can even do a single thing. Her s-break is an insta kill no matter where you are.

One of the hardest fights in the franchise for sure. Especially in the second phase. Trails always has those moments where you have to guess when the boss will S-Break. In the modern ones they usually go in enhance state, but the older ones like Azure was just intuition lol.

Yeah, I've been playing Reverie this month and it's waaaay too easy to protect yourself from the S-Breaks now. Everything is so telegraphed.

Yeah I’m freaking out lol I’m a veteran of the series and I can’t even seem to get close to beating her even on default.. She can one hit you any time she wants.. Taking a little break from Reverie to catch up on the earlier ones because I was stuck on that last divine knight battle.. Thought this one would be a little easier.. Guess I was mistaken..

Not really, while enemy usually go enhanced states, this time, enemy boss sometimes ignore the evade tank and sometimes charge your art caster, If you play reverie in floor 7, where boss is wazy, gaius and thomas, i send lloyd to front and suction 3 boss away from caster, wazy and gaius busy attacking llyod to be expected, but thomas sometimes throw a box craft into one of my caster dealing 60k to 70k which is instant death

I couldn't win even on an easier difficulty, said F it and am looking up how to win/the after cutscene. I literally have stopped playing this game for a week plus just because this fight, I don't want to concede defeat and continue the story.

I only play normal and can’t even get through this, without him getting in the back to my team and kill then, no matter how many times to try whatever every guide tells me 😔 I’m just really bad at this.
