glycine protects against methionine toxicity? methionine is richest in animal meat, whereas glycine is richest in animal connective tissue like skin. in natural (paleolithic) diets, you would get both of those together; only in modern processed food do you get meat (methionine) without connective tissue (glycine).

I remember in college in 91-92, I ordered large amounts of mathionine because I read it helps with premature ejaculation. I had a great girlfriend and after a few months we finally had sex and I wanted to be a good lover for her. I read somewhere it prevents premature ejaculation. I think the large amounts of methionine made urine very odorous if I recall. It did work finally because I remember being at lovers resort in Poconos mountains and being able to go non stop. I don't recall the science behind methionine being able to prevent premature ejaculation. But it is very impractical to be on a regiment of large amounts of methionine on empty stomach in order to increase sexual performance. I was only age 19 or 20. You have to give me some slack given my age. I think now they stack erectile dysfunction drugs with duloxetine to prevent premature ejaculation. I wouldnt worry about either anymore. I don't have sex life or partner.

@albardo08

Not every man needs to be on TRT. About half of men over 40 do show low T levels that make them candidates for TRT. But since TRT is a lifetime therapy, I don't think you should get on it until you really need it, or are showing definite symptoms of low T.

Great video! I've read men may benefit from taking progesterone because it has neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory properties, helping reduce amyloid-beta accumulation and tau hyperphosphorylation-both key drivers of AD. It also mimics the protective effects women experience naturally from progesterone before menopause. Women are typically better off than men in developing AD early on because of their higher natural levels of progesterone, which protect against high luteinizing hormone (LH) and its connection to AD. However, after menopause, there’s a sharp drop in progesterone levels, which removes this protective effect. This shift is why men are often affected by AD sooner, while women face a significant spike in risk later in life. Would love to hear your thoughts on this connection and whether hormone therapy could help mitigate these risks!

Jerry - I have a sleep stack for you. All very safe ingredients Theanine 400mg - This release GABA at the presynaptic junction. It also blocks the MNDA receptor. Magnesium Threonate (MT) 2,000mg - Magnesium is a positive allostatic modulator of the GABA receptor. This means that it binds to the GABA receptor in a different location than GABA would bind, but it amplifies the message transmitted by GABA. In other words, MT and theanine are synergistic in terms of GABA. It also blocks the MNDA receptor. Glycine 3,000mg - This has been shown in 2 RCTs to improve sleep quality. Glycine is an inhibitory neurotransmitter itself like GABA Melatonin at your usual dosage

Trazadone is an antidepressant that is an amazing sleep aid with seemingly no side effects. So I believe the serotonin does like you say. L tyrosine is something I used to take pre leg workout 3 grams with caffeine and sometimes ephedrine and it seemed to help focus. L tyrosine supposedly is precursor to dopamine. I never took tryptophan as an individual amino and did not know it was again available OTC. Melatonin seems to help along with magnesium for sleep. I know you have to wait a few hours after last protein mean to get the benefits of individual aminos like tyrosine for focus. That is interesting subject - what do the other aminos taken together do to water down the potency of individual aminos taken alone.

A puppy could give you will to live another 15 years minimum which could be a new lease on life. They learn pretty fast and always seem to adapt to their humans behavior - e.g., if you are feeling sick or bed ridden they don't nag you to go for walk until they see you are up and able to do so And if you're wasting time on a computer or in front of TV, puppy or young dog could remind you there are funner things to do like go out and smell the roses, interact with strangers (future friends), and they might make you give up time wasting activities like TV. They will for sure keep you laughing. Keep you happy. You could even get the shelter dog and puppy together to give the shelter dog all the same things the puppy gives you that I just mentioned. The puppy could even be on your videos and might attract more subscribers. You could change channel name to Jerry Brainum & Friends. Dont get dog for that reason but it's possible. Or let someone else adopt the puppy like you said and get dog from shelter. My dogs (puppies in 2008 and 2010) changed my life and life path and, LORD willing, my afterlife. I know the following to be true - dogs are man's best friend - and believe the following also to be true - all dogs go to Heaven. To get back to being with my best friends now in Heaven I hope I will do (e.g., obey Jesus's.commands) whatever it takes, and not do (e.g., sin) whatever it takes. I hope you will do the same. Amen.
