Again, I saw the event and I didn’t like his behaviour towards Petrenko, but he did nothing wrong! Or can someone explain me exactly what he did wrong? I mean leave the man alone, calling him a cheater , disrespecting his legacy and the hammer, challenging him for a left handed match and then complaining? Wtf? Maybe Robert Baxter is not the one to grow the sport, if he start so…. On which basis will he punish Devon? They should write rules if the want to punish people.

They are two grown man that have decided to do it for the show, the match was controlled and was not let to be dragged out too long by Engin and surrounding people, it was good for the audience, i don't see a problem with this. Some people just gotta stop being such flowers...
@bakters20 күн бұрын
They so far couldn't be bothered to write down the exact rules of the actual armwrestling, but they are willing to punish a competitor for trash talk? In my opinion, Devon should be punished only by people publicly disavowing this type of behavior. I bet he'd be willing to apologize to Oleg, if Oleg expressed his feelings on this matter. As far as organizers go, they have no right to condemn anything apart from very obvious violations, simply because their own refs don't even know the rules of the match. Fix it first, then you have a leg to stand on regarding nuances.
@Senedras20 күн бұрын
Only one that needs punishing is Engin for applying the straps on these two giving it a green light. If he had no intention of actually letting them pull ,he shouldn't have gaslighted it. Madness

Morozov's match was fine. Engin went in for no reason, Devon explicitly told him to stay away from this *informal* pull. Constantly trying to call Oleg "a little boy", while not inherently insulting, was beyond what I'd want to see in a championship match. Not because it's so bad by itself, but because Oleg did absolutely nothing to deserve such treatment.
@Aleksi72320 күн бұрын
@@bakters Trashtalk vs Oleg was fine, but it got alot worse since Oleg didnt react to it and you can kinda see devons trashtalk turn into more of an challenging Oleg into something else. Kinda wanna go attitude. This is even more seen with morozov.
@bakters20 күн бұрын
@@Aleksi723 Morozov did react. Especially after he got beat, he truly felt it. But I'm fine with it, since he said he'll put the gauntlet on the line, then figured out it wasn't all that wise. While I agree that it wasn't wise and I understand while he decided against it, he did say it, so I'm not against a little trashtalk and humiliation to be the price for this mistake.
@Aleksi72320 күн бұрын
@@bakters I definetly felt more bad for Oleg. Morozov was raging on stage aswell. He is not true champ and devon probably beats him, but that puts him in dangerous spot of facing Vitaly on left.

@bakters I hear you bro I'm just curious was there anything specific that you thought was bad or?
@bakters19 күн бұрын
@@Fox8ball. No, I don't think anything easily defineable was bad. Taunts should be legal, as long as they don't go overboard, but Devon clearly stayed within those lines. It's just that Oleg did not deserve that. The upside is, that because of that, he gained lots of fans. And he will get Devon.
