So I got a question bro I have a MPC one and I’m trying to figure out how to get the expansions that don’t come on it. Do I have to download the MPC 4:10 software onto my computer to do that or is it a way for me to get it directly from akia?

Thanks man that was a game changer for me! I bought DTK Expansion on Akai and it only downloaded .exe and .pkg file and I needed the zip for my stand alone MPC's. Not anymore once I dowloaded to MPC 2 on computer I followed your instructions and WaLAA! Thanks again.

Yes great! But arent those plugins just running from the sd card/usb drive when ever used. How do one actually transfer those plugins to the internal drive on the mpc?

First, make sure you have the expansions installed into a folder called "Expansions" on the root of a removable storage device, connected to your MPC as recommended. Note: This will not work if the expansions were somehow loaded onto the internal "factory drive," Akai Pro MPC 2 Software | How to Install and Use MPC Expansions : Akai Professional Once you have identified the removable storage device to which the expansions are installed, be sure that it is connected to the MPC. Then, put the MPC into controller mode. Once you do so, the MPC will act as a USB hub (in addition to being an audio interface and controller for the MPC Software). Now you can Click on the browser icon outlined in red in the bottom right of the software and use the file browser outlined in green to navigate to the "expansions" folder on the root of your storage device. Here you will find your expansions! Note: be sure that the filter outlined in blue is set to "All" or "Prog" to ensure that you can see the programs in your expansions. You can accomplish this by navigating using the MPC GUI. Press Browser>Places and find the location of your expansions.

How do I recover the sounds I used in standalone ? When I go into mpc beats it takes away synths sounds that's not found

What does it mean when I do the export from software and and the drags and drop onto the expansion folder it doesn’t show in the MPC one at all then after lowering the permissions it shows the folder but it’s empty and then a “Found” folder showing up and and the sounds I just put on the SD is now gone

Controller mode crashes 50 million times a day on Mac M1, spoke to customer service they basically said get a new computer and try it on there and get back to them 😒😒😒💀

Hey, really late to this, but I want to hook my mpc to my laptop, and I downloaded the software days ago, and just found out the problem was I don’t have the driver downloaded. That shit doesn’t let me download it. All the times I’ve restarted it and every single time it still says I need to restart my computer. It won’t work and I don’t know if there’s a solution for this. Do you know what I should do?

Thanks - that's really helpful. I don't use the MPC software, but I wanted to figure out how to access my SD card from my Mac. As soon as you put it into controller mode, it's there on the desktop.
