This is *such* a great video. It's always really cool to see when somebody makes an actual analysis of something as experimental and detailed as Death Grips and Ride's lyricism. I also really like the mention of Whatever I Want. I feel like it's probably the second heaviest (In terms of emotional value) DG song after On GP for me. And the relation you give to both in the video really show how special they are as DG songs. It's such a fucking important and amazing band and some people really don't realize that sometimes.

“On GP” means “On General Principle”. So basically when he says “if it wasn’t for them id make that decision on gp” he says that if it wasn’t for his loved ones he would have offed himself. I personally dont really think it ties into Government plates

on gp was the song that really got me through the most shittiest time of my life and avoided doing something i would’ve immensely regretted, and it’ll always be one of my favorite songs of all time. thank you for the beautiful analysis. 🫶

It’s not the best death grips song. I know I sound like a pretentious ass but the people who think this is their best are usually just casual fans. Say Hey Kid is easily better than this song and that’s not even their best

What Call says is true. If you want to feel better when all our freedoms are gone. I used to watch this guy a lot many years ago… this dude spews nothing but satanic panic and transphobia and a lot of antisemitism.
