There is really more to LP setup than just screwing in the headshell on the tonearm. I'm ready to get into this hobby again this time right!

Sure she did. You raise or lower your tonearm and using their software you want the lowest intermodulation distortion. Or you can do it by ear which is much less accurate as most ears are messed up from too many Black Sabbath & Ted Nugent concerts in the 70's.

Enjoying these tutorials, and some great information presented. Wish I had some of the gear/tools used, and can only hope I got things setup right when Installed my Ortofon Red on my Pioneer PL-510. ps Template is pronounced tem-pluht , not tem-playt - drove me nuts and stopped watching...

Very clear and insightful tutorial. One thing I wonder about is how to fix improper landing behavior. Could this cause imbalance between left and right on stereo cuttings? How is the adjustment done? Is that done by azimuth adjustment? Thanks for your reply!

Excellent video! This tutorial, and procedural method is the best one I've watched on KZbin! Thank you for all these clear, detailed descriptions, and procedures. I am detailed for the most part, and try to be exact; I've upgraded, and repaired my desktop computer, and upgraded my laptop computer. However, I honestly don't know, have the skill, and experience to get these things correct, yet. Very good video! Thank you very much for your wise advice, detailed instructions, close up views, and helpful tips on the adjusting of phono cartridge, and tonearm. The tonearm is not something I knew had to be accurately aligned as well. Again, thanks, AnalogMagik lady. Also, there is a saying from Mr. Vinyl TV; and it is Vinyl is final.

What if you don't have a speed control with your turntable? How do you then adjust the speed?
@TheMusicForMasses

You don't. You dump it to a garbage bin and buy a proper tt.
@rickslammintone9173

If possible adjust belt tension if you have a separate motor or try a slightly larger or slightly smaller belt. Depending on your TT brand there may be aftermarket aids like precision sub platters that help tighten up speed inconsistencies. Don’t throw your TT in the garbage.

almost every turntable has speed control. even the cheap ones, usually have a small potentiometer directly in the motor case which you can turn with a screwdriver.

I don't say this often and no, I don't own the product, but this company has really thought this product out from the protractor and azimuth alignment gauge to the software. It's not cheap, but considering all that you can do with all three products, I have to admit it's actually worth it if you have an expensive analog set up that you want to ring every last drop of performance out of your set up. I own both the Dr. Feickert protractor and the Mint LP and the product is based off of the Mint LP principals, but they went past even what the Mint LP does and the Dr. Feickert combined and then some. This company left nothing to chance and I watched all 8 videos before making this statement.
