JMS working to enunciate here. There had been complaints from peasants whom did not appreciate the process. And yes, this is a very lean mix. ❤ always

Hello, good morning, afternoon or evening, you will not read this, but I have a question that has been on my mind for a long time. Listening to the albums from the IRS stage, I noticed that the volume of the songs is ridiculously very low compared to not other albums by other artists but to the R.E.M albums. from the Warner era. You could solve this problem by leaving the topic as is but I don't know how to increase the volume, thank you very much
@BaldAndroidКүн бұрын
I've noticed, at least the CDs I have, that songs on the same album are ridiculously different. The IRS ones have some so loud they're clipped and some so quiet they barely reach halfway in Audacity (going by the size of the waveform). If you can hear the difference in loudness you can import them in Audacity and change the volume to a level you like then export them. Make sure the waveform doesn't go beyond the window otherwise it will be clipped and you'll lose quality and possibly hear a little static-like noise.

Forgot to say: to know if it will be clipped, change the volume level and then mix and render it. Then look to see if the waveform is too big.

Cool to hear that 12-string guitar in the chorus!

This one is a very good source for audio isolation better than the Rockband vocals I might get lucky here!!

Finally you can hear all the vocals in this one, now try and find a clear Stipe vocal phase!

this is another example of a song on this record that changed the way I looked at what a rock or 'pop'song could be. I mean, the whole song is kind of out of the ether both musically and lyrically. thanks u guys

one of my favorite songs . I love the guitar sound. it is visceral in a "September gurls" way. wonderful musical and lyrical storytelling by these 4 young fellas
@marksmusic197223 күн бұрын
the guitar sounds very similar to what Peter's guitar sounded like live around '86, '87. I dig that sound, it's almost like a drug.

very nice intro in this song. I had kinda lost touch with this one and hadn't listened to it for a while (a result of listening to music online instead of putting on actual records) , but it's a slick song, and if I remember well, pretty compelling live

Bills timing and drumming in general here is smoking' You can really hear the Ricky bass here. some people say they sound hollow or boxy. I love the sound. you can almost "feel" the jangle on the guitar. very visceral.

does Mike say "don't f__ck with me" in the harmony at the end?.

Yeah, they both do.

Scorching. this ain't an easy vocal to get right. Michael really shines here. and Mike too. I remember listenin' to this in my bedroom when I was like 14. It still gets me the same way all these years later .

Hi any chance of giving Oh My Heart the stripped down acoustic guitar version??? Give some more love to the bands latter career tracks as this and Uberlin are excellent. Thanks for your cool work!👍

This sounds brilliant ,just a quick question about moises do you know what accompaniment is?
@BaldAndroidАй бұрын
It's just the leftover bits. Basically everything that hasn't been separated.
@delboy20091Ай бұрын
@@BaldAndroid Ohh ok Thanks, i thought it was 'other' that was the tracks not selected though, is the accompaniment and other both the same, or am i just getting mixed up?
@BaldAndroidАй бұрын
Other is also the extra bits. I think it's called accompaniment when you separate vocals, so accompaniment will be all the music.
