This is an acting job, it's a bit from the movie John Q starring Denzel Washington. After all, who'd commit suicide to leave his son fatherless, and to die young, since heart transplant patients don't live long and their lives are sad, on immunosuppressive drugs and with constant doctor visits? But it's great for the heartless medical industry to get more heart transplant fervor going.
