This game being a hidden gem a part, this is probably the best regular encounter music I ever heard in a jrpg and I played a lot. Its catchy, simple, somehow epic but still nothing fancy.

Well it got it. Lufia Curse of the sinistrals for nintendo DS. it changed quite a lot of the game by making it an action rpg and gave it a total revamp. But still is Lufia and you will get an ending there, the one we all wished was in the original...

This really much reminds me of Zero's theme from Mega Man X(1), when X is caught in Vile's mechas grip and Zero shoots his buster charge from off screen, dismembering the mechas arm and setting X free, then he slides in from the left and points his arm cannon at Vile in front of X all protectively! :D

FINALLY I FOUND IT AFTER SO LONG. This song was heavily featured in games made in RPG Maker users (95, XP, etc) especially around the 200s and it was a big part of my childhood. Leaving my RPG era after 2007, I forgot the original game this song was featured in (because I never played it) and I get frustrated by it whenever it plays inside my head. Long live RPG. My childhood life would be lesser than without it. ❤❤❤

So glad you got to find it! I've been on a 10+ year search for a song that was used in a Final Fantasy AMV in the mid 2000's on KZbin, and wasn't even in English. So it brings me joy seeing that you got closure on such a long journey of finding this song :)
