It worked well, i am using an external ssd to move the location....but while taking a backup of the phone it shows "an error occured while creating a backup" and then it aborts abruptly.....im stuck and now i cannot take a backup....pls help

Thank you so so much for making this video It has helped me tremendously. I did not have even 1GB free space on my laptop until i did what you said. It works great. Be better if it backed up straight to the external devise though as I still have to delete every backup from the laptop. I am not sure if i did something wrong or if that is correct it backs up to laptop and also sends copy to external device then you delete the one on laptop to free space???

Hi! great tutorial. Now unfortunately my hard drive is broken, how do I return to restore the old location to the PC (cannot open the file of the external drive as it is broken). Wanted to do a brand new back up of the phone on the PC and will then buy then a new external drive. Help!

Hmm i must be doing something wrong. If I dumb files in the backup on my c drive. It stays there. But also beeing copied to the new folder. Very weird. If I check properties for mobilesync it sure holds data. But it kinda have some sort of connection. Because i can both add and delete files in both folders. If I add they appear in both folders. If I delete the get deleted in both. Whats wrong?

I agree with the positive feedback provided earlier. However, it seems that the current procedure is directing both current and future backups to the E or external drive. To free up more disk space, it might be more effective to also move the old backup files to the E or external drive and configure future backups to be saved there as well. From what I observed towards the end, it appeared that old backup files on the C drive were being cut and pasted into a backup folder on the same drive, rather than being transferred to the external drive. If I’m mistaken, please correct me.

And how do I do it for a network drive?

Will the new backup be saved automatically to the other partition?

How to restore from the backup created on external hdd ? Also will the bridge created will be same at the time of restoring as external hdd drive letter might change when we plug in hdd later to restore ?

I have the problem that my C: drive does not have enough space to make a backup. This results in me still not being able to make a backup since I get the "Not enough space on computer error"

i have a question, so i recently had to delete itunes and reinstall it, and i thought i had to redo all the steps again and so i did, turns out all of the steps save even tho u delete itunes and reinstall it, so i have the “Old Backup” and the “Backup” both routing to the “New itunes backup” but it’s still the same size and everything, like there’s no issues. is this okay? it should be fine? the “MobileSync” folder still has 0 bytes so it didn’t really do anything but just route it again to the “New itunes backup” folder
