Beautiful car, thank you for sharing. I personally would replace that radio by something time correct, at least time correct looking, to not ruin the dashboard style.

It was remarkably easy to give it a well-deserved thumbs down. Production value & audio on an elementary-school level.

And I’m sure that the steering wheel obstructing the view of the speedometer was just a coincidence…

Remember when I was in the UK to chase spares from BL who were just collapsed, MG wire wheels and stuff when someone asked if I was interested in a TR 8, They were sold for export only or were scrapped .

Nice exhaust, what have you done to it? I deleted the mid-resonators and just kept the rear silencers and am happy with the sound. I know quite a few prefer a quieter ride, but I like to let that Rover V8 snarl and roar.

Ceramic coated headers, stainless steel exhaust, rear silencers only. Quiet enough to talk at cruise, but loud enough at full-throttle to enjoy the engine. The stereo microphone for the video was clipped to the rear license plate and covered with a dead cat. Had to reduce the sound at 2300 Hz with an equalizer to lower the tire noise.

Nice. Own a Canadian spec '82 myself. Similar to your car, but with a blue interior....know if power steering seal kits are available ?

Hi Brian..new wedge owner here...just reading your article in the Bulletin! Thanks. Incidentally, I just bought my TR8 from the original owner who bought it brand new at the Winnipeg dealer back in 1981.

+cheftush I watched your TR8 video. Looks like a promising project. I think you'll enjoy your TR8 once it's on the road. I had both a TR6 (fully restored) and my TR8. My son has a newly restored TR3. I sold my TR6 because I never really drove it, the TR8 was that much fun.If you have any questions or need help with your TR8 project, please email: [email protected]
