See my problem is my hair stays curly even w the damage. So I have no idea WHERE the cut is going to be or where the length is going to end. My hair is already way shorter than yours. I think I killed my hair and ruined the scalp by over dyeing my hair a few months back. With my thin hair and super round face, I will look like a boy if I cut it too short…..

My hair is EXACTLY like yours after finished washing and it air drys a bit. My hair was so full and to my mid back but idk what's been happening and it has thinned out and breaking like crazy. I went from rockin a full looking bun, now my bun be looking like its STRUGGLING. I ended up just chopping all the straight hairs and chopped around to even it out. I am trying to go natural and steer clear from heat products but never be knowing wtf to do with my hair bc it be a HOT mess. I like the half up/half down style so im going to try that out!

Try deep conditioning your hair every time you wash. If you have a heat cap, use that with the conditioner. Stay away from blow dryer or flat iron. You can do roller sets and air dry or sit under a hooded dryer. I did this while transitioning from perm to natural. My curls are back, long and strong. I have only used heat one time in 6 years. That was for my daughters wedding. Good luck on your journey.

Looking back I wish I didn’t care about curls . Long hair is easier to work with and u can use rollers or do braids to achieve the curls. Who’s doing a wash and go anyway??? 😂 I want my hair back but it’s growing 😢

Did you go in July 2022? Im debating traveling in July due to hurricane season. I know all days wont be sunny and clear and sometimes its a quick rain. I'd be happy with three good days out of 5-6.
